Yes, pretty much. He held a title in the WEC though.

Obviously you can't hold it against him, he's not the matchmaker, but it makes this statistic more or less irrelevant.
I wouldn't call it gifted when the list includes Mayday, Jorgensen, Menjivar, Bowles, Wineland, and Mizugaki (WEC). He already took on Cruz and Barao. Who else is there for him to fight and earn another shot? In this division, there aren't exactly 10 guys that are all up there. He has beaten everyone at the top other than the champions recently.

The problem is other than Barao and Cruz, there isn't anyone at Faber's level at 135 right now.

MM was a little overrated, he has hardly beat anyone of note. Slapped a triangle on Pickett who is now a flyweight....other than that? MM isn't ready yet.

Why are people whining now that he got title fights in the past ??? What does it matters now ??? they guy clearly proved that he deserves to be the champ...

Faber really is a beast. I really hope he wins the title again. Pretty much his only option.

It really sucks for faber imho. Because I think since his striking has improved so much he'd be able to beat Cruz again. The only problem being I don't see that he'd be fighting Cruz again for the title, because I think Barao is going to beat Cruz up and I don't see faber beating Barao.

Other than those WEC champions Miguel Torres and Cole Escovedo. Cause why would champions be of note. But why don't we go through the rest of the top ten and you can point out who exactlly should be ranked ahead of McDonald.

10. Takeya Mizugaki - lost to two guys McDonald beat (Cariso, Torres)
09. Mike Easton - Dodson, Menijvar, and Beebe, lost to the guy McDonald beat (Pickett)
08. Tj Dillashaw - just lost a close split decision to Rafeal Assunção, other than that
07. Scott Jorgensen - wins over Pickett and Mizugaki but 1-4 in his last five and is now a fly weight (and likely not even a top ten one at that)
06. Brad Pickett - just lost to McDonald and now a flyweight
05. Eddie Wineland - biggest wins over flyweights Jorgensen and Pickett
04. Rafeal Assunção - just won a close split decision..but maybe you can argue he's better than McDonald though he'll likely be ranked ahead of him now.

So one guy, he might be overranked by one guy who come tomorrow will likely be ranked ahead of him.

He seems to totally freeze up when under pressure. My prediction of him beating Jones youngest champion record is looking pretty damn shakey now

Hey goofball, I said he was a tad overrated, didn't say there were handfuls of guys who should have been ranked ahead of him in a weak division.

Yea Torres is such a great win these days. Torres is a joke and not even doing shit on the small circuit.

MM is 22 years old. To think he was going to go beat Faber in Sac Town is overrating him. But please continue your rant about rankings that has nothing to do with my post.
