Melendez/Sanchez was a one-sided beatdown...until Sanchez almost won in the third.

For me personally

1. Alvarez/Chandler
2. Melendez/Sanchez
3. Grice/Bermudez
4. Dodson/Johnson
5. Jones/Gustaf
6. Stann/Silva
7. Hunt/Silva
8. Zigano/Tate
9. JDS/Hunt
10. Hunt/Struve

Mark Hunt may have gone 1-1-1 this year but he's Fighter of the Year in my eyes.

Hunt / Bigfoot.

Hands down IMO.

There were some great fights this year. Has it ever been this competitive for fight of the year?

RIP Jordan Corder. Watch over me from above brother.

So hard to choose, what an amazing year for fights. I think GSP vs Hendricks also deserves to be on this poll.

Went with Melendez vs Sanchez myself, despite it being pretty one sided it was my favourite this year, both guys feet planted swinging haymakers til the end

Same here. The fact it was a draw after 5 rounds only upgrades the level of competitiveness and heart those guys displayed, not the contrary.

Of course I loved the Wand fight way more, because I am a fan and it happened in Japan surrounded by all of that nostalgia and epic and desired result, but he KO Stann on the second round.

In Hunt/Bigfoot fight we are talking about 5 back and forth insane rounds. Fight wise. That was the one.

There was a nice brawl to finish that Melendez let happen. But it was so one-sided. Was fun, but hardly the best fight of the year.

I got Bones/Gustaf. Forget the decision. It was a great fight. It was a very meaningful fight. And Gutsaf surprised a bunch of people. Plus first time we ever saw Jones take a beating. Was a great display of technique, toughness, and big events (Gustaf taking Jones down, Jones' spinning elbow).

The Grice fight was amazing as well. But have to give the nod to the more important fight with so much on the line.

Bigfoot/Hunt was perhaps the best, most grueling HW fight I ever saw.

Wandy/Stand was the best round of the year.

Great year of fights for sure.
this sums it up well

He more or less caught him with 1 punch. He was still easily out-struck in Rd 3. 30-27 Melendez.

It was fun though, so I will back off. Just surprised it is leading this thing. Sanchez uses his face for a punching bag is good stuff.
