I think so, now everybody who watched that knows that guy has fake teeth. I wonder if his wife/gf knew? She does now!

Dan Henderson has taken his front teeth out 3 times that I have seen on TV so far,why would he care if Rampage mentions it?
If he wanted to show his teeth on his own accord (king of queens, after wins) then more power to him. However Rampage shouldnt be telling him to show off his ugliness in front of a bigass audience.

Dan probly didnt care, but he might have (come on dudes we dont know), and that's plenty enough reason for Rampage to show respect to his friend and not say that shit.

Thanks for the insightful comments about what I do or don't know about other members, thats always appreciated. How do you know what I do or don't know? Exactly.

Hendo has no problem showing off his teeth in front of large audiences. He's done it in the past, and he'll do it again. When he showed his teeth for the camera, he knew he was doing it for all of who HAVE seen him fight before.

If a friend like Rampage makes fun of you for something you have no probmem with, then its NOT a problem or out of line.

Haha whoa there buddy chill out, correct me if I'm wrong but I think this was you?

The thread-starter has just never seen Hendo fight before. But thats okay.
That's accusatory and dumb

Kinda Yes

I think it might been out of line but im sure rampage didnt mean anything by it to embarass him. Im sure it made hendo uncomfortable but i dont think rampage meant to hurt his feelings. But its just trash talking.. Happens all the time in ufc..

I think hendo might felt a little uneasy when he said what he said but i dont think he got that mad about it. I think rampage might just got caught up in the moment since he just won the belt and wasnt really thinking about what he was saying..

Here's my opinion on this. Just a bit of background, for th past three years I've been working with people that are confined to a wheelchair (Cerebral Paulsy, Muscular Dystrophy, etc). When I first came into this work I wasn't sure what was the right thing to say, or what I could talk about. One time I was working and was talking to one of the people I looked after and he told me a story how his dad would go about 80 when they went snowmobiling, and without thinking I said "are you crazy? You want to end up in a wheelchair or something?" The guy laughed his ass off.

Thing is, if someone is comfortable with their situation they don't mind a joke at their expense. It's a but like the elephant in the room, you know its their, you just don't want to comment on it. Mind you that you can only do this if the person on the other side is comfortable with it. If I can remember right Dan and Rampage are friends, so I don't think Dan took it wrong, and also its not as if Dan hides it away like a dark secret.

Well, he doesnt wear the fake teeth during fights; and every time he takes his mouth guard out, its obvious he has no teeth.

I feel like such a fool. Ive seen almost all of Hendos fights and all the important ones and I never even realized he had fake teeth. I dont know why I didnt notice. Its probably because Ive only see him fight on PPV like once and the rest were either on dvd or internet. I also never saw the King of Queens episode.:confused02:

Anyway, I thought Dan looked embarrased and maybe Quinton shouldnt have said it but either way its not that big of a deal and doesnt warrant a bunch of internet guys to pitch a fit about it.

I thought Dan looked embarrassed and awkward but he's got a good sense of humor I guarantee he doesn't give a shit. He just wasn't prepared to respond to something like that and he got nervous and embarrassed. He's a big boy I think he'll survive.

Just for laughs is one thing, but announcing that a person has fake teeth to the whole world is a bit embarassing IMO. Its like me saying " dude look at the camera, you're ugly! " on camera infront of 10000s of people at the event and watching it at home, right when the cameras on you.
In yur opinion it embarassing, but not in Hendo's opinion. Rampage even made fun of his own trainer, but that doesn't mean he really means it.

Look Maaaa, No Teeth!!!!!

Shit, we expect fighters to have no teeth and crooked noses and cauliflour(sp?) ears don't we! I don't think it changes anything and I'm sure Hendo ain't that sensative of a dude to let stuff like that bother him. Hendo shoulda responded in kind by sayin...."Yep, and after we fight you can show the fans your missing teeth, the ones I'm gonna knock out!"

LOL
Its not like Rampage was lying, its true!
Did you guys see the look on Hendo's face after he made that comment? It definitely caught him off-guard, but it was all in good fun. They were just bustin chops.
Why doesn't he fix his chompers? Not like he doesn't have the money for it.

I know it was all in jest of course, and Dan probly didnt care. Im just sayin even if there's a 95% chance the guy isnt gonna care that's not somethin youre supposed to just whip out in front of a huge audience as a joke. It's a ****ing deformity.
Rampage makes a joke and you call Hendo a deformity. You lose on this one.

Also, PEOPLE REALLY NEED TO LEARN HOW TO TAKE A FREAKING JOKE. Notice how every joke you've ever laughed at could have offended someone. Go watch some South Park.

That's beside the point and you definitely dont know what the thread starter or other people arguing against you have seen or havent seen. The point is that Rampage was poking fun at him for being toothless in front of a huge UFC audience. I pretty much promise that Dan wouldve rather heard Rampage pullin his typical 'ill whoop your ass' bullshit. Y'all are assuming Dan didnt give a shit which may well be true but Rampage was in no position to assume that.

I cant believe so many people are riding his nuts on this issue, what he said was gay as hell period.
Hypocritical irony is my favorite.

I completely agree. What a prick. That reminds me back in the day with that other no-talent prick who never shut his mouth.
"Joe Frazier is so ugly that when he cries, the tears turn around and go down the back of his head." - Ali :sarcastic09: :sarcastic09:

Come on guys... It's the publicity game which was built upon Muhammed Ali's rock. It's completely juxtaposed to Couture's absolute class. It only brings attention.

War Rampage!!

I don't know, for me I didn't think it was out of line, but I also didn't really enjoy watching it either. I've been a fan of mma for a long time and one of the things I've always enjoyed is the no nonsense, no b.s. approach mma has had in contrast to the "sports entertainment" approach that professional wrestling uses.

With the explosion of MMA, mostly thanks to the UFC and with the huge amount of mainstream fans that are coming into the sport, I can see it changing. That doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing, but I never want to see the hyped up, trash talking, scripted crap that makes me turn the channel anytime wwe comes on. In my opinion it just doesn't belong in mma.

The one thing I do know is that the first thing my wife, (who watches as much mma as I do), said while watching the post fight interview was that "this is just like wrestling". Only time will tell what happens to the sport, but I hope it can gain mainstream popularity without having to stoop down and appease the lowest common denominator for ratings and money.

What do I lose? Reputation points? Ahhhh!!!!! No please No :sarcastic12:

Dude it's not offensive in the non-politically correct definition. It's disrespectful to the person right in front of him, it's a personal attack style joke in front of a huge audience. The kinda **** that made nerds feel like nerds in highschool and jerks feel like big ****.

Yeah it was disrespectful, lot of Rampage nuthuggers around here all of a sudden but unless that conversation was completely agreed upon before the event (which im sure it wasnt) then he shouldnt have said it.
That was like saying 'pull off your wig' or 'show em your gross scar' or somethin its just not the business of the entire audience. This isnt professional wrestling.
Seemed pretty harmless to me, like a rib between friends. Lots of athletes in contact and combat sports are missing teeth and wear dentures outside competition. Hockey players are a good example. It's no big deal.
Hell, if anything, Rampage's comment makes Henderson seem that much tougher, because it suggests he got them all knocked out.
Besides, I can't imagine Hendo's that sensitive.

Nope not at all. Anyone whose followed Dan Henderson pre-TUF knows he has a set of fronts on his grill. It's just like Quinton making comment on Lindland's B.O. after Lindland let interviewers know that he's gone a week or two without bathing before fights. It's all open game.
 repped for your avatar, fighter Hayabusa was the best in that game if you know how to use him!!!

People trying to be witty with their off base definitions of irony are my fav, glad we like eachother so much :thumb03:
Assuming you understand irony as well as you believe, that still doesn't cover the hypocrisy.

Also, I'm not trying. ;)
