I remember being impressed with Ronda's boxing in the last pre fight... only to see it look horrid in the actual fight. I'm getting a similar feeling after watching this.

RIP Jordan Corder. Watch over me from above brother.

Sure her pad work looks great but it's completely different when the target is moving. I remember Dana spewing some bullshit before the last fight saying Ronda was hitting pads better than the guys. Skip to the actual fight and it looks like she's never boxed a day in her life.

Will make predictions for credits. Please, I'm so broke.

You guys do realize getting sharp in training is the first step right? I really dont understand how somebody can see this as a negative. Its not like anybody ever looked shit in training only to put on a striking clinic in the fight.

Imagine Ronda being as sharp inside the actual fight? No woman would stop her.

Oh believe me, I have nothing against Rousey. She's already a phenom. If she got her striking to even a quarter of her ground level she would be one of the greatest p4p fighters in the sport.

I was simply pointing out I had been impressed by her striking pre fight before only to be disappointed come actual fight time. I would love it if Ronda went in there and had striking the way she looked in this video. I am just not so sure it's going to happen after because of how she looked last time.

For a striking coach, Edmund stays in one spot way too long. Sure Ronda's combos look good but she isn't being made to move much.

Then again it's all for camera, she'd be stupid to have all her striking training focus on a stationary target.

I agree. But its not exclusive to Rousey. Hell, Ive seen GSP doing amazing stuff in training only to grind his opponent for 25 minutes. And who can forget Rampage throwing amazing kicks on the pads.

But yes. Ronda needs more sparring I think. She needs to get punched in the head more, because as I see it her technique goes out the window when she gets hit.

If the fight would be a boxing fight, I have no doubt her striking would look better, a little closer to her training, however, she has only one thing in her mind in an MMA fight: Bullrush and get the fight to the ground, so she basic throws punches in the process that are in no way close to those we've just saw her practicing.

Ronda is indeed already a phenom in MMA, ppl like it or not.
