Wow I don't agree with this one bit. I feel like the UFC will also have to pay all fighters an extra "promoter" or "advertising" fee. This could literally take money away from the fighters.

I don't feel like we have enough information. It clearly isn't finalized so maybe things will change and fighters with no sponsorship will get a lil something.

This is just stupid. Some of these guy's don't even wear shorts during the fights, let alone have sponsor logos plastered all over them.

It will probably be similar to TUF where there are a few different options for you to choose. So board shorts, shorter shorts and vale tudo.

Surprised the partnership with Tapout hasn't continued on.

I don't like it. Takes away from what makes the ufc and mma interesting. Individual personality and expression.

As long as the shorts don't interfere with the fairness and safety in the fight who really cares?

Cody Mackenzie is a weird dude, let him be a weird dude. Variety of style is what made the UFC in the first place

I think overall this is a good idea. Most if not all of the major sports leagues have a clear definition of what the uniform of their athletes must codify to. If it helps bring a base line of sponsorship to all the fighters on the card while still leaving options for individual fighter sponsorship I can't see it being a bad thing.

Like it or not UFC is a league/company and they are the ones putting on the show. NFL, NHL, etc impose clear rules for what and how the uniform will be, and how it will be maintained when present in a game. This is no different. The one point of contention may be walk out shirts/outfits. UFC is already clear that only agreed sponsors will be worn walking out so I think this may be the only point of contention.

Post of the thread right there. I hate the idea of individuality being neutralized in anything. What's next, all fighters must get the same haircut and no facial hair is allowed? I get it, they're trying to make it look like a main stream sport, but please not at the cost of what made it popular in the first place: the fighters with skills and personality.

If the company making the uniform is Nike, Reebok-sponsored fighters are screwed.

If the company making the uniform is Tapout, Venum/Bad Boy/Hayabusa-sponsored fighters are screwed.

Depending on who is making the uniform will drastically affect a lot of the fighters, the uniform company will surely get to deny any sponsor they feel are conflicting/competing with themselves.
