Nope, Lyoto was mistranslated, he actually said 'No they're all cheating old men without functional weiners'.

Silly people.

But seriously, I'd be pissed if Lyoto ever did it. I don't think if your Testosterone levels fall below 'normal' levels you should have it raised to fight. Have it raised to feel better, sure. But yeah, **** TRT in MMA.

I don't care a whole lot about that kind of angle, either, to be honest. Just looking at possibilities instead of overreacting. meh.

Lyoto is 35 and he doesn't do it. He doesn't need it and he never will.
I think he's just saying that because Vitor is Brazilian and they're supposed to stand by each other or other Brazilians will give you crap.

That is what people are saying the rules should be. That isn't the same as hating everyone who takes advantage of the rules.

Unfortunately I believe him here as I don't think he would stretch his neck for Vitor. It's all about playing along the rules. Why should he just quit his job while others are legally being granted TRT use? Just for moral principles? I am sure he isn't fond of the idea, but this double standards in the sport are already showing their results: Clean fighters thinking of using TRT.

I say TRT should be banned at once, so we would be free from these weird feelings - Lyoto on TRT.

Huh?? A rule that says if you need to use TRT to compete then you should just quit??

What if you dont need to use TRT to compete could you use TRT then lol??

You mean a rule that simply makes TRT illegal??

Honestly, and this isn't a shot at the guy at all (he's one of my all time favorites after all), Lyoto is really giving the PC answer here... even if it is the way he feels.

Basically saying as long as it's within the current rules, "what's the problem?". Which is a valid point. I generally stay away from TRT discussions, but I'll say here, just this once... there is no room for gray area with something like this. They need to either ban it completely, or continue to allow limited use and the topic needs to be dropped. End of story.

I would be bitterly disappointed if Lyoto took TRT.
there are more and more links between rattling your brain and diminish hormone levels. the pituitary gland apparently is very delicate and it is what regulates all hormone production. so it gets damaged and stops telling the nuts to produce test. which is supposed to be the reason behind guys in combat sports needing more trt than average

fighters I like
145 Jose Aldo
155 Melvin Guillard
170 Carlos Condit
185 Anderson Silva
205 Jon Jones/Machida
265 Alistair Overeem/Frank Mir

So in theory, these guys got punched in the head too much and stopped producing T. So they put themselves on TRT so they can be punched in the head some more? Sounds wonderfully productive. I cant wait to see the mess these guys are in when they hit their 60's.
