Come on people. Round 1 Roy might be impressive... but Round 2 Roy and beyond is a god damn mess. Im confident Nog will get out of round one and proceed to pepper Roys fat head for the remaining 4 rounds.

He is the better boxer, he is the better grappler, has the better conditioning and he has more experience. Roy chances resume on that big punch connecting. As always.
Roy has only ever been finished once in his 10 year career. Nog won't finish him, he'll need to grid out a decision and I don't think he's got the tank for it.

Roy on the over hand has very heavy hands, and is more than capable of KO'ing Big Nog. For that reason - advantage Nelson.

Hendo has been proving that all you need is one big hand and a solid chin to win.

And that finish only happened because he was stood up from side control during a freaking submission attempt.

I think Roy takes this. This will probably be a sloppy fight, but Roy should feel comfortable anywhere the fight takes place while Nog has to watch his chin. On the ground Roy is extremely underrated because he chooses to not use his ground game. I think he would surprise a lot of people with his flexibility and BJJ game, he is a very legit BJJ black belt.

Not saying Big Nog will submit Roy, but Big Nog is very capable of over grappling him. Why not? His tank is better than Roy's and he can outbox Roy through a UD. Not saying that will happen, but these are the ways he could do it, IF he avoid the big bomb. Big Nog chin is not confirmed to be that bad if you look the kind of powerful punches that KOed him in the past. If Roy lands HIS big one, it will be more a matter of his brute force rather than his chin giving up early in the slight contact.

I just think "I don't see a way Big Nog win this" is too much.

I agree with this, roy doesnt have spectacular TDD either I can see big nog getting him down sooner or later and he has much better BJJ. I hope big nog wins only for the next visit to japan can have big nog, lil nog, shogun, hendo, hunt and barnett and more pride vets all fight in the card.

Nog is technically the better boxer, but his chin isn't what it used to be and Roy's chin is granite.. Nog never was a one punch knock out artist anyway.
I think it will be hard for Nog to find a sub unless Roy is real gassed out. But I don't agree that Roy has better wrestling. He was absolutely tooled by Mir with wrestling. Nog is very strong in the clinch and has a good trip, clinch TD game. He may not get Roy down at will, but I think he is the better overall wrestler/clincher.

Yes, Big Nog has better hands and grappling than Nelson, but it's not like he is really fast and he doesn't have the best striking defense these days. Face it, Nog is very hittable and Nelson hits like a truck. Faster strikers with superior footwork tool Nelson on the feet, Big Nog isn't that fast on his feet. He's referred to as zombie Nog every now and then.

That being said, I could still see Nog winning a decision. He has superior stand up and Nelson's only window is probably the first round.

Frank Mir used Nelson as a punching bag for three rounds. Why can`t Big Nog do the same?

Is Nelson all of a sudden a much better fighter?
