I remember Frank mostly just pushing and holding Roy against the cage for three rounds.

Nah man. He kneed Roy in face at least 30 times real hard, I remember debating whether Werdum or Mir did more damage. Mir landed a big throw too.

I'm amazed Roy seems to be the favorite here. Big Nog can box a lot better than him IMO. I think Nog wins this easily.

RIP Jordan Corder. Watch over me from above brother.

Man, me too. I may crash and burn, but I have no idea how Big Nog is not the favorite for so many.

because to me, Nog has looked old and slow in the last few years.

He may win a decision if Roy gasses, but I don't think he's gonna knock him out or submit him.

Man, sure he is old and scarred from epic battles and his speed can't be the same as before, but look at the losses he had recently: he was schooling Mir on the feet in their rematch until that stupid reckless guillotine attempt. He was kicking Werdum`s ass until they went to the ground and I got my answer who would be the best on the mat (like, in an MMA bout).

I think he is more than game. We don`t normally see him puffing, but Roy gasses rather faster than anyone. Roy has his powerful punch. If he lands, night, night, but Miocic looked very slow as well against Roy and went to the end. That was an ugly fight and Roy looked garbage.

Well, my 2 cents here.

Its the matchup. I think nog is the etter fighter right now. And i think him losing his chin is overblown. But his chin isnt as good as it was. And hos reaction time isnt either. Standing he is a better overall striker. But doesnt change the fact that Roy lands that right a lot to end fights. And roy has a chin to absorb big punches. Roy is also good enough to stay out of subs. I do think nog can grapple him though and control that aspect without finding a sub. I just dont like the idea of that righ hand of Roy's coning at Nog for 5 rounds. 1 is bound to land. Roy isnt some huge favorite in my eyes. But i dont love the matchup for Nog. Werdum kept roy at distance, as did jds. Nog like to sit in the pocket and box you and land a big one of his own.

I like Roy. But im a huge fan of Nog. So I hope I am wrong. Roy is just very tough to finish.

I'd say in Big Nog's current run, you have to talk since the Velasquez fight.

Nog destroyed Schaub on the feet.
Kicked Mir's ass before the ground.
Beat up Herman on the feet to sub.
I don't remember the deal with Werdum on the feet though.

But Nog has seemed like an awesome boxer in his current run. It's also hard to see anyone at heavyweight not named Mir or Werdum slapping a sub on him.

I actually never really looked at his losses alone before. Hendo, Fedor, Barnett, Velasquez, Mir, Werdum. Crazy good guys to have only lost to after all these years.

It's all down to how good Nog still is. Roy Nelson pretty much starches anyone who isn't a top competitor. If you think you're ready to fight the big names, go against Roy and see if you really are. If Nog survives, we know where he stands.

I'd actually like to see Nog just fight guys at the bottom of the division, cause it will show that he's still fully capable of putting together streaks.

Nog has decent hands, but his head movement is terribad and that's a bad attribute to have against Roy.

This is how I feel. I think he could out land Roy 10-1 but one of those shots from Roy is going to stop the fight.
