Agreed. Hendricks wins round 5 with or without the takedown. The takedown just put the final nail in the coffin for Lawler. He had Lawler hurt and wobbly.
Now, I would argue Lawler's round wins (3 & 4) were much more clear-cut and significant than Hendricks' (1 & 2), but unfortunately that's not how fights are scored in the UFC.
I have no problem with the decision. Lawler had nothing left to offer in the 5th. Johny did. Granted, Lawler inflicted much more damage on Johny over the course of the fight, it just wasn't enough to earn a decision in a 5-round fight.
