There's no true champ until GSP returns.

...probably Rory or Lombard.

I voted Rory, when you look at the other guys he's been in the mix the longest and he really doesn't have anyone to fight ahead of him in the rankings. Condit's out, Lawler not going to go right into a rematch with him. Also if Rory wins the title what does GSP do?

Woodley didn't win by freak injury. he won by using technique that he practiced and executed. besides, he was winning the fight and Condit had nothing for him after 1 1/2 rounds. his coaches will probably call it the "breakdown" or something much more clever.

In all seriousness I'd give it to Woodley or Lombard. They beat top fighters tonight, have some level of tdd, and would have potential for a stand up war.

If I were the UFC, I'd give it to Lombard. You could argue that he's on a 6 fight winning streak since both his Boetsch and Okami fights could have gone either way. Not to mention he absolutely dominated the two guys that Woodley lost to. Woodley has beaten the bigger names but to be fair, his most recent was because of an injury. Harder to promote a fight with that.

Will make predictions for credits. Please, I'm so broke.

Nonsense. Condit got injured after the takedown and the leg kick really hurt him and ended the fight. Do you mean to say Woodley practiced to inflict cause that injury? Because the injury ended the fight, not some super techinical performance by Woodley.

How did Condit have nothing for him? Condit won the standup to the point where Woodley had to take him down where he did absolutely nothing to Carlos. And he was winded in the 2nd round. Guess we were looking at different fights.

It was a freak injury, I mean he blew out his knee on a double leg I don't think I've ever heard of something like that happening. I've seen broken ankles, guys stepping on their legs round but to have your knee get your ACL blown out just by a guy landing on you I don't think that's even happened in practice.

Please, do not escalate this freak injury to another Destruc-shin debate.

Woodley looked done and got lucky. Lombard slowed down to almost a complete stop but Shields doesn't have any weapons against strong grapplers.

The true winner of 171 is Rory because nobody looked good enough to warrant a title shot. I can see a Lawler rematch but I doubt it.

Damn Condit's injury really messes things up, I have no doubt that he would have gone on to win that fight if he didn't get injured.

Before I would have said the winner of most impressive between Condit, Woodley, Lombard and Shields vs winner of Hendricks & Lawler. Second most impressive against Rory Mac and the losers of those 4 against each other. Now I am not really sure as no one looked that great.

Would have to say Lawler or GSP rematch is most appealing to me
