Mousasi will either sub Mark off his back real early while they are dry. Or I could see Mousasi ko'ing Mark in the late 4th early 5th.

If Mousasi keeps this standing he will totally dominate and win outside of a hail mary punch landing for Munoz. Mousasi is dangerous off of his back but my problem is he seems way to content being there and striking from his back. I mean it does damage, but you lose according to the judges.

Mousasi needs to stay off of the cage, and either work subs or work getting back to his feet should Munoz land takedowns.

Gegard Mousasi vs Mark Munoz (May 31st, Fight Night 41, Berlin)

Quote:
A day after Gegard Mousasi teased the bout, the UFC has announced the Mousasi will face Mark Munoz in a five-round, middleweight headliner at UFC Fight Night 41 (aka UFC Berlin) on May 31 in Berlin.

The fight will take place in the O2 World Berlin arena, and airs live on UFC Fight Pass.

UFC Fight Night 41 is one of two international UFC events to take place on May 31. Later in the day, Chael Sonnen vs. Wanderlei Silva is expected to headline The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3 Finale in Brazil.

Mousasi (34-4-2) made his middleweight debut in his most recent bout with Lyoto Machida. The two headlined a UFC Fight Night event in Brazil in February, with Machida winning a unanimous decision after five rounds.

Mousasi talked about the Machida fight on UFC Tonight on Wednesday, but then was goaded into all-but confirming the fight with Munoz.

Prior to the loss to Machida, Mousasi had been on a run that saw him winning six bouts, while drawing in another.

After a year on the sidelines due to injury and a bout with depression, Munoz (13-4) returned last summer with a victory over Tim Boetsch, but then had his hopes to make a run at the middleweight title sidetracked by a loss to Machida.

Now, both men coming off of losses to Machida, Mousasi and Munoz will step in the Octagon together to determine who gets back on track.

“I’ve always wanted to go to Berlin. To be able to compete there is an added bonus,” said Munoz about the fight. “Berlin is a historic place and I’m looking forward to being part of MMA history and putting on a great show for the fans! Mousasi is a great opponent and competitor. I am looking forward to competing against him and getting one step closer to fighting for the title.”

MMAWeekly.com will have further UFC Berlin bout announcements in the coming weeks.

I like Gegard alot and i hope he wins but if King Mo can wrestle hump him then i think Munoz can. But im hoping his TDD has improved since in the past he never trained properly and he comes in and finishes Munoz.

Mousasi said after the Lawal fight that he rarely trained wrestling, he's been tightening up on that so I think he'd be ready. Really liking this matchup, I think Mousasi can finish Munoz, I hope he does anyways.

I actually think that is what could make this fight very interesting. Munoz has some wicked GNP that could be very effective against a guy that stays so active from the bottom. I'm really looking forward to this fight.

Well I dont think he plans to, to be honest. I also dont think he wins. This is a make or brake fight for Munoz but if he cant take Mousasi down he's probably done for..
