He should just fight and stop worrying who's "deserving" of a title shot or not.

Your only saying that because of the fact that it was not a complete domination by Jones. They had a war, there are many wars in title fights. How is a unanimous decision mean that the person you just beat is the best career move for you. Honestly if Jon has a war with Glover and wins then he goes in and subs or stops Gus in the 1st round...then everything is gonna be oh Glover needs to get the next shot. People have never seen Jon have a real competitive fight so the first time he does that person is his Kryptonite. Im not buying it and if they get to fight again I think Jon gets past him easy.

It's not like he's coming out and saying this stuff for fun. He's just answering questions directed at him in a very honest manner. I feel like I say this all the time.....when he was giving politically correct, fake-ish answers, he was getting trashed for it. When he gives honest answers them come off as cocky, douchebaggy, etc, he gets trashed for it. He can never win with a lot of online MMA fans.

Rubbish. Im saying it because its the truth. Right now, beating Gus would carry more kudos for Jones then beating Tex. Does anybody disagree?

I just think Jones is embracing being the bad guy now. He tried to pretend to be nice years back but now he is just trolling everyone. My guess is Jones just gives people the answer he thinks will piss them off to foster his image

well, why wouldn't he be? no one likes a phony.. and I hate douchebags, so if the "real" Jones is one why should I like him then? I don't see what's hard to understand here...

Chuck Liddell, there was a real champ... Just say he'd knock guys out, and didn't care who they placed in front of him.

I disagree. I don't think beating a guy twice (assuming both fights are within a short time period) is as impressive as beating two different guys. It's not like it was a 48-47 split decision. It was a clear unanimous decision win for Bones. I think it would be more impressive to add another good name to his resume of guys beaten (if he beats Glover).

Very fair point. But it's one thing to not like the way he comes across, and another thing to say how he shouldn't be dismissing challengers etc, when all he's really doing is answering questions.

Are you implying Bones isn't a real champ? Has there been one individual that the UFC wanted Bones to fight, and he didn't end up fighting him? If Bones in the last three years has defeated Shogun, Rampage, Machida, Rashad, Belfort, Sonnen, Gus, and is now going to fight Tex...does giving opinions on deserved contenders impact how "real" of a champ he is?

Jones doesn't want any part of Gus a second time or DC. He knows very well that his fight with Gus was up in the air and that there was a real possibility that he could have lost his belt when Buffer was calling the winnner. He also knows DC has a style that will frustrate him and DC is a great fighter who will put it on him.

He's not afraid of either, but he certainly doesn't actively want to fight either, he'd rather they fight each other to eliminate the one of the only two legitimate threats to his belt. Which is sad.

I'm saying that conduct is far more becoming of a champ.
