Am I the only one who likes the prelims line up more than the main card? Honestly outside the main event the prelims with RDA vs Khabib, Thiago Alves, Jordan Mein, and Healy vs Masdival.

#3 ·
Yeah, they way they lined up the fights is very questionable to say the least.

RDA vs Nurmagomedov should be the Co-main, after that fight and the main event there are a handful of good fights dispersed all over the card.

Stacked prelims for sure. I can't see why Khabib vs. Dos Anjos isn't on the main card.

...On my to Orlando as I type this. I'm so stoked to see these fights! Cerrone & Barbosa has me peaked! Muay Thai 101. Should be a sick fight. Nice to visit the Octagon once again. My first event was UFC 88 in Atlanta. Now Florida. Too kewl!! I plan to have a few brews and a major good time! Werdum & Browne-- I think Werdum's experience, his stellar ground game and good striking should be enough to pull out a decision. I gave Browne no chance against Overeem and surprise! I want Travis to win but Werdum is no push over. Peace out...

Mein is solid and super technical for such a young age. Good stuff so far.

But I must say the second round was a bit lack luster even though it was still really technical.

Surprised that was a split decision. Mein clearly won the first two and dropped the last.

I'm convinced the judges are too distracted by candy crush or clash of clans on their phones to notice the small details so i no longer question their sketchy judging.

Healy can't seem to catch a break since his win over Miller was overturned.

To be fair, he is dropping decisions to quality fighters in Green, Khabib, and Masvidal, but three straight losses after having a win overturned (despite the overturn being controversial) doesn't look good for your UFC career.

Good win for Masvidal though.

Wow, Alves hasn't fought in over 2 years. Baczynski should be looking to take advantage of his potential octagon rust. I was very confident in Alves until I thought of that.

Do you guys still see him as the favorite? I'm still picking him to win, but I'm not 100% confident about it.

This is some old-school Thiago Alves. Looking a lot better than he has in his last couple. Excited, Alves used to be one of the best to watch at 170. Be awesome to see him put a run together!

Alves is winning, but Baczynski is at least making it a fight.

Alves looks good for not fighting in over 2 years.

#26 ·
Definitely his best in the last 2 years :D

Great great fight. Alves kicks were amazing. Very impressive. Took a few punches more than he probably should have but whatever!

OWNS, Alves vs Brown sounds amazing to me!!! Was thinking the same thing through out the fight.

Very good fight. Thiago's takedown defense looked good like it always has, and his kicks were looking sharp. Props to Seth though for staying in there and still succeeding on landing himself. You could tell those kicks were doing damage, but he didn't back down. Tough guy for sure.

Still, Alves was the clear winner and looked great despite just coming off of a long layoff. I'm glad the judges got this one right.

Never stopped them before though, haha.

I was more talking them getting all of the rounds right. Definitely a 30-27 decision win for Alves.

Kind of rough that Khabib is 5-0 in the UFC and 21-0 overall, yet he is fighting on the prelims. At least it is televised though.

This should be a great scrap. Both guys are quality lightweights. Dos Anjos has improved so much since he first came to the UFC. I expect this to be quite competitive.
