Low single via Couture / Toney. Mayweather doesn't even know what a sprawl is.

I would put money on amateur MMA fighters in my gym against Mayweather.... let alone an elite fighter like Ronda.

Hehe some misery gutses in this thread. People get upset so easily. After reading a few posts I'm not much the wiser, but have shifted slightly towards Floyd. One thing I know is that in a smaller cage Rondas chances increase a lot. But in a big octagon maybe floyd would be too quick.

I think Codie McKenzie could choke out a gorilla.

After Rousey armbarred it first.

...That's a pretty stupid statement by Jones. It's apples to oranges. MMA--Floyd--- would almost certainly lose an arm inside of 30 seconds. Boxing---Pretty little Ronda would get dropped and most likely finished inside of 20 seconds with a blinding, unseen unorthodox combination by a man that's beaten all other men...

It's a proven scientific fact that women have about 60% of the muscle strength of a man of the same weight and built. That's a MASSIVE edge. In most sports the women Olympic records are lower than the collegiate men's records. Much lower.

At the first gym I went to, the few times I rolled with women when I was just starting out, I had zero problems with women who had been doing it for 4-5 years. I'm talking I could power out of a fully latched on armbar most of the time, and they never managed a takedown even once unless I let them. The strength differential is that big. Most gyms don't allow cross gender rolling or sparring for this reason and I agree, and when they do it's usually considered a gentlemanly courtesy to give the ladies a little leeway and let them win a little for learning purposes.

IMO this and most cross-gender sport debates are stupid ... it doesn't matter the technique edge Ronda has, the strength and athletics differential is too massive to overcome, especially with another elite combat athlete like Floyd who is by far the best at his craft. She could beat scrubs or amateur male fighters her size possibly but not an elite combat athlete like Mayweather regardless of short training time for him or her grappling technique edge.
And like 1/10 his speed, 1/100 his footwork, and 1/1000 his hand skills. Really she would be too afraid to even go for anything other than an ankle pick and would probably just flop to her back every time he got anywhere near her.

This isn't a fat punch drunk James Toney we are talking about it is one of the quickest and most technically skilled boxers ever. You can avoid most takedowns with good footwork and a half assed jab in MMA it would take a couple months for him to be hard as hell to get a takedown on by men in an MMA fight with his skill level at both of those things right now.

agreed... floyd is a douchebag but you cant seriously think Ronda whoops his ass MMA fight or not... every time she shot in hed blast her. sorry to say...

only reason he probably hasnt considered MMA is the money is terriblelelelel...

I think he would be a BEAST at 135 in the UFC if he wanted to be and did some grappling for a year or so.. too bad he is old as ****.

Exactly, the physical attributes, athleticism and skill difference is so skewed it's ridiculous. The fact that people are even debating this just shows how much nonsense people actually buy if repeated often enough.
