Money would crush her in an MMA fight if he actually took it seriously and trained for like 4 months with coaches who aren't stupid.

Really? You think he could learn takedown defence adequate enough to stop Rondas Olympic level Judo in 4 months?

It would have to be his first ever 1 punch KO, because if Rousey grabs him the fight is over. I think that like a lot of elite boxing talent, if they started training MMA early on they would be elite there as well. But a boxer vs an MMA fighter? Even a male boxer vs a female MMA fighter of similar size, MMA fighter every time. Get the fight to the ground, tap them out, walk away. Couture already showed us this presentation.

I don't really think its possible to have elite level boxing and elite ground skills. There are only so many years a person can train. Something has to be sacrificed. Of course, an elite wrestler can have very good boxing. But never to the level of a top boxer. And vice versa.

Takedown defence enough to stop someone with almost half his strength, yes quite probably I'd say.

It's a proven scientific fact that women have about 60% of the muscle strength of a man of the same weight and built. That's a MASSIVE edge. In most sports the women Olympic records are lower than the collegiate men's records. Much lower.

At the first gym I went to, the few times I rolled with women when I was just starting out, I had zero problems with women who had been doing it for 4-5 years. I'm talking I could power out of a fully latched on armbar most of the time, and they never managed a takedown even once unless I let them. The strength differential is that big. Most gyms don't allow cross gender rolling or sparring for this reason and I agree, and when they do it's usually considered a gentlemanly courtesy to give the ladies a little leeway and let them win a little for learning purposes.

IMO this and most cross-gender sport debates are stupid ... it doesn't matter the technique edge Ronda has, the strength and athletics differential is too massive to overcome, especially with another elite combat athlete like Floyd who is by far the best at his craft. She could beat scrubs or amateur male fighters her size possibly but not an elite combat athlete like Mayweather regardless of short training time for him or her grappling technique edge.

I love this debate. Way more compelling than billy jean king in a dodgy match against an average opponent

I think Ronda would win but I'm not so sure of it. That's why I find it interesting. I just wish we could make it happen somehow hehe

Ronda would have to catch him, he's not going to have to pace himself for 12 rounds against Rousey.

Mayweather could be the next Brock Lesnar cross over guy, 135 is not a deep division and if Mayweather develops a sprawl with his hand speed he could easily fight for the title.

Who gives a shit? I'm sick and tired of this crap. It would never happen and we'll never know. It's ******* stupid that it's ok for Ronda to talk about how she could beat men, but if a man says something she goes crying to Dana. You wanna be treated equally? Stop the double standards.

(In no way do I support hitting women, it's about the princible.)

Never will I ever be fake, never will I follow
