Takedown defence enough to stop someone with almost half his strength, yes quite probably I'd say.
It's a proven scientific fact that women have about 60% of the muscle strength of a man of the same weight and built. That's a MASSIVE edge. In most sports the women Olympic records are lower than the collegiate men's records. Much lower.
At the first gym I went to, the few times I rolled with women when I was just starting out, I had zero problems with women who had been doing it for 4-5 years. I'm talking I could power out of a fully latched on armbar most of the time, and they never managed a takedown even once unless I let them. The strength differential is that big. Most gyms don't allow cross gender rolling or sparring for this reason and I agree, and when they do it's usually considered a gentlemanly courtesy to give the ladies a little leeway and let them win a little for learning purposes.
IMO this and most cross-gender sport debates are stupid ... it doesn't matter the technique edge Ronda has, the strength and athletics differential is too massive to overcome, especially with another elite combat athlete like Floyd who is by far the best at his craft. She could beat scrubs or amateur male fighters her size possibly but not an elite combat athlete like Mayweather regardless of short training time for him or her grappling technique edge.
