Jones has already fought and beat Gus, and frankly I'm not so sure Cormier couldn't either.

That's because he has the perfect game plan to beat DC well studied inside his mind.

The only person who doesn't want this fight is Jones, because he knows how close he came to losing that belt.
I dont think a champion should pick fights. I have no problem with a champion lobbying for an opponent. If Bones wants Cormier but ends up signing for Gus, I have no problem. If Bones/Gus doesnt happen solely due to Bones, then I would have a problem. Bones didnt think Chael deserved a shot either and he gave it.

Everything Bones does is for money and/or fame. For all we know, this is a tactic to get more money. And most of what we know from this is stuff Dana says, which has to be taken with a grain of salt.

Now with Bones, because more people on here would rather Gus, EVERYONE is saying how Bones shouldn't be picking fights, he's scared, etc.
You answered your own question. People wanted to see diaz more than hendricks. People right now want to see gustaf 2 more so than an injured dc.

GSP wasnt calling out a guy needing surgery.

GSP was calling out a guy he was supposed to fight before.

Dana said Gustaf was to get next months ago.

GSP didnt belittle Diaz coming to the ufc and wanting a shot then all of a sudden change his mind. Jones DID belittle DC saying hr in no way desrrved a shot.

The 2 situations arent similar much at all.

I recall a lot of people crying foul at gsp wanting to fight a guy coming off over actual deserving contenders. Most people saw the bs in that. Lol, gotta have your head pretty deep in in the sand. This situation is not as bad as what gsp managed to accomplish but it's still stinky.
