Time to make bad Judging Criminal!!

I'm sick to the teeth of fighters losing fights that they clearly won! The hard work and money they put in is wasted when this BS happens! Without spoiling what fight I'm talking about, but you know what fight I'm talking about.. Last night was by far the biggest ******* joke I've ever seen in ANY sport!

These fools need to be held accountable for their actions! the score card was a complete MESS!!

Sadly this kind of thing is commonplace in Boxing but looks to be slowly getting worse in MMA, last week Barnatt and now the ridiculous and comical Pearson decision.

Can't think of any good solution off the top though I'd suggest the UFC put Alberquerue on the back burner for a couple of years (if the judges were local).

I agree! Boycott any town that does this twice. That last night was nothing short of cunty.

Problem with that theory what happens if it happens in Vegas or Canada.

Judging is always going to be subjective. That's the nature of being judged. There is really nothing the UFC can do about other than lobby athletic commissions to increase their standards or criteria for becoming a judge. And even then, with all the different state jurisdictions, that won't be uniform either.

Boycotting any state or country won't solve the problem. There are bad judging decisions everywhere. Why punish the fans of one particular jurisdiction when bad judging happens everywhere?

With regards to boycotting New Mexico it would be an apt way to show the athletic commission that poor judging will not be tolerated, the fans losing out is a sad byproduct of the situation.

We already know from his post fight comments that Ross and his Coach (Eric Del Fierro) will lobby to the commission to investigate whether there are any dodgy goings on with the 27-30 judge (Jeff Collins) with the intention to turn it into a NC if anything is found.

Besides from a black mark on his record, hopefully the loss won't effect Ross's standing in the UFC.

Dana/Silva will probably view this as win for Ross, as will the journalists that decide the rankings.

Hopefully Ross's next opponent will be higher up the ladder than Sanchez.

I just don't understand why we can't have ex-mma fighters or trainers or even those simply trained in MMA to judge. Have an exam system where they have to show their competence and boom, we're sorted... Apart from the close fights we like to argue on, but that's cool.

The sport's evolved so much since 1993 but we're still in the stone age as far as judging is concerned. Wasn't there a retired fighter a few years back who judged an MMA fight?

This situation would never arise in Vegas though.

Vegas has held almost half of all UFC events ever, there will be no big homecoming to sway the judges like Diego Sanchez to Albuquerque because there are events there all the time.
