Shogun's fighting somone good

“Shogun” To Face “Someone Good”, Will Receive Title Shot With Win | UFC Daily

Who is this good fighter that Shogun is going to fight it could possibly be Tito/Rashad winner but thats only 2 months between fights. a new guess I have is Chuck Liddell but I'm not sure Dana would risk Chuck's career by putting him against Shogun because a loss would be 2 in a row and we still would have not seen Liddell vs Silva.
Another option is Machida.

So do you think he is really fighting a good fighter. Or is it a fighter that Dana and Joe Silva think is good (Forrest Griffen, Keith Jardine) who i think are middle of the road fighters but not good.

I agree as well. Machida is really good and I'd love to see him test himself against Shogun because we all know how good Shogun is.

Absolutely....Shogun's such an aggressive fighter, and Machida's a more laid back counter striker. They both will try to push the other out of his element. This might actually be an exciting Machida fight. Shogun would force him to actually do something. I'm really rooting for this one to happen.

It probably won't be Tito or Rashad as I am not sure they could cleared in time. Maybe it will be Machida some think he deserves a title shot and maybe this would lead to that. If Rashad or Tito win I think they should face whoever wins in the Shogun fight then have them fight then the title shot but who knows how long that could take.

I highly doubt its Machida. Hes still an unknown to common fans and Shogun is relativly unknown to alot of people too. Theyre gonna wanna make a name for Shogun by having him fight a bigger name.

As much as I hope this fight doesn't happen (not now at least), it is a very strong possibility. I believe these are both top-caliber guys, and Dana/Joe are just trying to coddle THEIR favorite fighters/well known fighters to UFC fans, which usually end up being more hype than talent.
