This fight interests me more than anything I can think of right now.
Eddie is one of the last of the truly proven fighters outside of the UFC that has cleaned out damn near every relevant fighter in his division.
He's been clawing at the UFC door for his chance. Had FOTY candidates multiple years. All out wars. Always a game opponent. And he goes for the kill in every fight.
It finally feels like the the LW divison is complete at this point.
This guys has been a staple at LW for years bashing heads in.
It's definitely one of the most appealing situation for hard core MMA fans.
At this point Eddie Alvarez fighting any ranked UFC LW fighter is a compelling situation for me if only for the "what would happen"? factor.
I've followed his carreer for a long time so this is an all out treat for me.
