I read your signature and it said something about wanting UFC to go to another country and hold an 8 Man Tournament.
1.) Would you rather see open weight, or a set weightclass
2.) If open, who would you have in it, and what would the matchups be
3.) Same question for set weightclass
I'm putting these guys in my 8 man openweight, some pretty good matchups could come out of it

The reason I say go to another country is because the Nevada Athletic Commision does not allow fighters to fight twice in one night and they must meet weight requirements, with that said they should go to Japan or Brazil and hold an open weight 8-man Tournament called.....................wait for it............................Ultimate Fighting Championship Grand Prix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chuck Liddell-LHW Champion
Tim Sylvia-HW Champion
Andrei Arlovski-HW #1 contender
Renato Sobral-Noboby left for Franklin to contend with

Georges St Pierre-WW #1 contender
They should do an open weight 8 man tourney like once a year and have a special belt or trophey for it. I'd say out those 8 fighters either Arlovski or maybe Matt Hughes to win. Just my opinion. What do you guys think?

I wouldn't put in the Heavyweights for the reason that 250 pound fighters shouldn't fight guys 170 or 155, plain and simple.
I like the lighter weight fighters, if i could do a top 8 tourniment it would be.

Fighting order i'd like to see

i like all ur guys picks in the open weight gp except gsp, i dont think he would have a chance of winning..id put brandon vera in there instead..and you guys have alot of confidence in hughes huh?/ i dont think he could beat anyone of those guys mentioned, actually i think he would get blown out of the octogon, and as for hughes vs chuck, cmon man, chuck would destroy hughes in the first round, not even a remotely close fight..and if u wanna see what would happen if tito and matt faught, go on dailymotion.com and there is a grappling match between matt and tito, and tito wins pretty easy...matts a great fighter but im only putting him in the tourney because it would be fun to see him fight some bigger guys, but he couldnt beat ne of them!

ya know..now that i think of it this sounds a lot like the old school ufc where people at this forum dogged the old school guys for fighting no one and having no chance in modern day ufc. but what about modern day fighters by old school rules? tito has the cardio but he is a *****. Maybe rich or forest, frank mir before the accident would have had a chance. but who knows hell cabbage could have beat em all just for staying on his feet>....I think in the end it would be hughes. he is a modern day royce gracie. he just finds a way to win time after time even if you dont like it its true.

guys matt hughes is 5'9 170, he couldnt beat any of those guys, ace would knock him out as would chuck, babalu is better than him...i dont even have to mention aa and sylvia..cmon the guy is real good, but it isnt old school ufc where the bigger guys are stiffs, these guys that we have in this tourney are the best of the best and they are all alot bigger than matt..i dont give matt a chance against any of them.

well everyone has a chance against anyone though yea Matt huges is great.. But most of these guys are just that much better.. it would be like sticking fedor in the bunch.. it is almost a gaurenteed win.. I say almost cause anything can happen |
