Light Heavyweight Title History
 
The Light Heavyweight Title was known as the Middleweight title from UFC 16 until UFC 33 when the new middleweight title was introduced just to let you know.

1st technical champion: Frank Shamrock, defeated Kevin Jackson, held title from UFC Japan- Ultimate Japan 1 until UFC 25. Lost title due to Vacation.

2nd champion: Tito Ortiz, defeated Wanderlei Silva, held title from UFC 25 until UFC 44. Lost title due to Unanimous Decision.

3rd champion: Randy Couture, defeated Tito Ortiz, held title from UFC 44 until UFC 46. Lost title due to TKO (Cut).

4th champion: Vitor Belfort, defeated Randy Couture, held title from UFC 46 until UFC 49. Lost title due to Doctor Stoppage.

5th champion: Randy Couture, defeated Vitor Belfort, held title from UFC 49 until UFC 52. Lost title due to KO (Punches).

6th Champion: Chuck Liddell, defeated Randy Couture, current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion.

Vitor Belfort beat Randy Couture at UFC 46 in a crappy match and lost the rematch at UFC 49.

Oh yeah thanks for notifying me. Forgot that one. But it really didn't count since Randy cut his eye in the most dissapointing main event I've ever seen.

Tito Ortiz is a legend he definitely deserves to be put in the hall of fame along with Matt Hughes once he retires or leaves. Hes simply amazing and has the best cardio I have ever witnessed.
