Rampage is better at everything except cardio. If Maldonado can avoid getting KOed in the first 1.5 rounds then he has a real chance of a decision win. The fight being off and then on again, fighting at catchweight just tips it even more in favour of Maldonado. I still consider Page a much more skilled fighter though.

Maldonado is really a simple minded person, I mean, in a handicap way of speaking. Nice guy, no doubt, but, he looks like he suffers the consequences of consecutive concussions for a long time now. He shows some concerning micro spasms when he speaks, his eyes move akwardly and he really sounds like a 11 years old in a 205 body. I really think he has the mentality of a child, so I have a hard time seeing him taking punishment.

I don't understand. Are you saying he can't take punishment or you don't want to watch him take punishment??

as far as I can tell he loves it. You think he has the mentality of a child. I think he's a kid at heart. he wants to be rocky against clubber lang :thumb02:

There's never been a better time to fight rampage. if he can't beat him now, he never will. I think he will.

I didn't mention judging bias, I was actually thinking about it being a home fight for one guy and a road fight for the other.

Regardless your reaction is completely uncalled for, I wasn't talking to you and for you to make personal and insulting comments towards a post like that is not okay.

Honestly... Machida wasn't robbed... i know right after Rampage thought he lost, but you can never judge a fight you are competing in. Rampage took 1 and 2 for me, Machida got the 3rd big... not enough to win the fight.

Then again, either way that fight goes... im cool with it, it was really close.

Oh, absolutely. Never crossed my mind that was a robbery. The point to make with that example was specifically that a close fight in Brazil is not scored to the local guy by default.

I also disagree with the concept that's been written that a fighter lose "skills" fighting in someone else's country. May be if the word "performance" was used instead I could agree better, but even that is questionable, as this factor will weigh differently from fighter to fighter. See Gustafsson fight in his hometown, for example.

Damn, Rampage coming into the fight at 215 has got to be the most anybody @ LHW has ever been over in the UFC. When the fight was scrapped originally he probably stopped cutting weight and then didn't have any time to lose the LBS once the fight was back on. Did he have to hand over a percentage of his fight purse to Maldonado?

He may not have gotten the finish, but that was total ownage by Rampage. I thought this the most versatile Rampage we've ever seen in the Octagon, which tells me that he's still evolving and has matured since 2013. He even caught a second wind in the third round!

Aside from great walkout music, Fabio absolutely sucked. How can you slap your chin and then run away?
