Fighters with 1 to 5 bouts will receive $2,500 per fight
Fighters with 6 to 10 bouts will receive $5,000 per fight
Fighters with 11 to 15 bouts will receive $10,000 per fight
Fighters with 16 to 20 bouts will receive $15,000 per fight
Fighters with 21 bouts or more will receive $20,000 per fight
Title challengers will receive $30,000 per fight
Champions will receive $40,000 per fight

These numbers are a joke! Three years ago I paid $500 sponsorship for a logo on the shorts of a strikeforce undercard fighter!

I was wondering when this would be posted. Yeah this is a ******* joke. I defended the UFC when they announced uniforms, less when they monopolized their fighters sponsors. I can find no way in which to be okay with this. Guys like mighty mouse are easily bringing in 100k with deals from Microsoft. This is also only UFC fights, not total career fights, so guys like Khabib will make five grand. This is complete bullshit. Seasoned ******* veterans in the UFC have 10 fights....

Lol proof for all those posters saying Reebok deal will be good for the fighters.

Any named fighter lost money.....some tons of money. The ONLY ones it helped were no namers used to getting paid 2k on regional cards. Who will be cut from the ufc in now time anyway....

The deal is pathetic to say the least.

UFC is dying.

The irony being lots of fighters were complaining about fighter pay right up until this reebok deal was initially signed. Then everyone is probably thinking we'll wait and see how big this deal is for us. Now they are going to make even less money!
When i thought the deal would be crap I honestly didn't think it would be this bad.

Expect a fighter revolt to start gathering spme momentum soon

Lol, absolutely ******* garbage from two absolutely garbage companies.

The time is now.....for Viacom to invest in Bellator and burn Zuffa to the ground.

Question is how long. This could be the preliminary numbers and may be adjusted. I can sense they were looking for a medium. I also remember they're allowing one spot on the uniform for another sponsor. Question is will it be a UFC sponsor or one from the fighters'.

Problem is they have a bloated roster. It reminds me of poker. 1-10 usually get the highest payouts while the rest get peanuts. In this case I really would have imagined $100k for the champs. ie: Anderson was being sponsored by Burger King, Nike, and others' so you know he was raking it.

I can assure you a guy like Alvarez was making far more than 2,500k in Bellator, let alone his first UFC fight.

This simply is unacceptable.

Its been said sponsors like "Fear The Fighter" owe UFC fighters thousands in sponsorship cash. Mousasi is suing them claiming they owe him something like $20 grand. Others have claimed Punishment Athletics and other clothing sponsors owe them money and never paid them.

If sponsors aren't paying people what they owe, it is possible some will actually make more money off the Reebok deal than they're making right now, sad as that is.

Sean McCorkle said the guys make about 75% of their purse in sponsors, so if a guy is taking home $10k from his fight, he'll take home $7500 in sponsors. This is a joke. I don't understand how this is possibly a positive move for the fighters.

Also, what happens if someone blitzes it in Bellator, looks awesome and is the next big thing. Comes into the UFC with a shit-ton of hype into a big PPV fight. Will he make $2500 in sponsors? This uniform shit is going to kill the sport.

Mitrione sums it up pretty nicey:

Congrats @Reebok, you got the deal of the century. Unfortunately, it was at the cost of the fighters. Hope the bad press is worth it. @ufc
What a joke this Uniforms thing is.

The lack of journalistic coverage on this 24 hours later and a real critique shows the ham hack so called 'journalists' in this sport. Why has no one got their finger out and destroyed this deal yet? Helwani pretends he is a journalist, they are all paid puppy dogs who will do anything to keep their spot as chief question asker in a press conference.
This deal could actual blow up the UFC, Tim Kennedy already asking to go to Bellator. Miles Jury posted a pic of all his Reeboks stuffed in a trash can.

That's media for you these days on anything. Google three years ago when the huge revolts in Mexic took place, did their best to put the news on second pages when searching for news regarding them.

I hope this blows up in UFC's face and the fighters **** off to Bellator. It might kill the sport, but i don't care all the greats that i like are retired or on the way out anyway.

Ok seriously this is bad and I was on UFC side. They really need to ban together and form a Union and go on strike untill it's fixed. if all the fighters or even half of em all went on strike and that includes big names the UFC would be forced to change this instantly. They just need some type of leader. Brian Stan would have been a good one. But the fighters really need to communicate with each other and do something.

This can only work if they allow fighters' to solicit other sponsors outside of clothing. Otherwise 75% will probably be unhappy. But keep in mind fighter pay + bonuses should always account for majority of their pay. Sponsors supplement it.

It was inevitable though. Having Condom Depot + all these random sponsors made the sport look rudimentary.

If I were a manager/fighter I'd put this on my clause. They might not be able to wear it inside the Octagon, but can appear in commercials outside of it as their namesake should propel the product. Thus at this point only a few marquee fighters will be able to gain this status such as Ronda, Conor, and possibly Pettis if he regains his title. Without going into too much detail only certain celebrity athletes can land these deals as they need representation from the big agencies. This is beyond most managers' abilities.

- jewellery
- cosmetics
- watches
- automobiles
- Gatorade
- sunglasses

Only Anderson and GSP were able to land the blue chip sponsors. I'd throw in MS/X-box for DJ as well.

None of this makes any sense. Why would the UFC make this deal? The money they could possibly be given for it, and any legitimacy they felt they may get, doesn't matter if you're going to lose fighters over it.

I've seen two guys say it's fine I think. Scott Jorgensen who's had loads of fights was cool with it and Robert Whittaker said more moneys cool but it's not why he fights. I think Khabib might have praised the deal but I could be wrong there. Outside of these guys, EVERYONE is unhappy, and it just doesn't make sense. These fighters are going to make much less as a result of this deal, why would the UFC endorse that? How can Dana say he thinks Jury will come around to Reebok if the deal is clearly absolutely abysmal? I don't understand it what so ever.

Unless the UFC is being run by some evil mastermind who has a long goal where this turns out to be incredible, it appears to be one of the worst business deals ever. I mean every single UFC fighter signing with Don King looks smart compared to this.

And you all know me, I'm not one of those moany cnts who are all like "Match making sucks, Pride for life, the lawsuit is amazing" blah blah blah. I've always also said I don't really care about what fighters are making because that's on them, but why would the UFC agree for fighters to earn LESS? It's just bizarre. If guys are going to make much more in Bellator, and also have the potential to be a champion among it's mediocre weight classes, anyone who isn't serious about being the greatest fighter of all time is going to sign with Coker. Such a terrible situation for the UFC all round.

Everyone on this site was also WAAAAAAAAAAY off on the Mayweather fight. None of you thought it would do CLOSE to the current prediction. I was just off by even more. To be honest, I'd have went even lower if I knew it was $100. It absolutely beyond my comprehension that they might do 4 million on PPV when it was $100 to watch. Insanity. Hands up completely that blew my expectations out of the water. I believe there was an article posted not long after I said that which went into detail about the potential of PPV buys plummeting as a result of illegal streaming and piracy. That's why I expected to happen to be honest but it's really cool that people are still willing to buy cards, even if they are just casual fans. As I said, completely wrong in that occasion and fair fuks to Mayweather and Pacquiao for reaching that amount of people with a fairly terrible build.

johnny, outside of Ken and Kimbo which is ridiculous, I actually like Bellator's strategy. I like that they signed Melvin and I thought Rampage and Tito were very legit signings (and they've been doing good as well). I'm not passing MY judgement on Bellator here, I really like the company.

I was just making fun of the internet fans who consider Rampage Jackson, a Bellator tournament winner who was I think 3-0 since leaving UFC or maybe more, to be a shockingly bad and desperate deal, while Bellator signing a guy who struggled to make weight every time since UFC is a great deal. It's just how people think. It's the same reason singers who no one knows have youtube fans saying "It's shocking that Justin Bieber is famous and this guy isnt" but when they do get big they say "Everyone's just on the bandwagon. I prefer ____ now"".

UFC is obviously better than Bellator. They have better match making and put on better shows. Bellator still has some really good guys, specially at heavyweight (but also Brooks, Pitbull, McGeary etc).

I would 100% agree with a fighter's decision to leave UFC for Bellator because financially it only makes sense now.

But alas, you were too "simple minded" to understand that I wasn't making fun of Bellator, just internet MMA fans.
