Yuck, that toe was nasty.

Thales fought the perfect idiotic fight. This was clearly a fight he should have followrd Chael Sonnen's best technique to put the chin down and bullrush Bisping to grab any limb available and drag him down. But no, how about showcasing your high level Jiu Jitsu by standing against the kickboxer? And lucky you couldn't understand Leo Santos cornering him. Lame...

Reading about this on other forums and the haters are crying about Bisping getting the decision.

So apparently a fighter just looking throw bombs should get the decision against a technical fighter who landed twice as many shots.

Most pundits had Bisping for the decision

Striking is subjective, should landing twice as many shots value more than moving forward, and effectively causing damage to his opponent?

Bisping was stunned in the second, the leg kicks also did obvious damage, Leites moved forward through-out the fight.

Is it absurd to give Leites the fight for that...I don't think so.

I'm happy Bisping pulled out the win, I betted on him and he won the fight in my eyes in the last minute of the fifth round. But if they rematched outside of England for a three round fight...I would bet on Leites.

It was a good win for Bisping

Said it before and I'll say it again - The Count is the ultimate gate keeper of the 185 lb division. Get by him and you're in the top 5.

Bisping/Vitor 2?
I don't think we'll see a rematch, he could draw Yoel Romero or Jacare Souza in a title eliminator. Or they could give him an up and comer like Robert Whitaker or Kelvin Gastelum. Mousasi is the stylistically most intriguing fight then again the way the UFC works they could sit him out for six months and declare him Anderson Silva's return opponent.

Close fight, i'm glad Bisping won but the guy is done challenging for a title. He is not fast anymore, that was his main asset..now he he is just slow and doesn't have power behind his punches or kicks.

His technique on the feet is really good, he just doesn't have the body to back it up.

The Diaz fight from Anderson Silva was Anderson trying to fight like a "hungry" fighter again. He tried his absolute best to not make it a war, and to be fair man Nick Diaz imo is probably the best striker Anderson Silva has ever faced.

I think Anderson absolutely destroys Bisping. One round or two if the first was uneventful.

I just mean the general attitude going into that fight was that he was going in for the kill, not trying to comment on the Thai clinch in particular.

That said... cut Rich some slack... bastards, he had far less form to go on in the first fight and did much better in defending it in the 2nd fight.

Yeah.

For a while, Rich had done the best against Silva for a guy who wanted to stand and trade with him (second fight).

Bisping 49-46 for sure. For once i think a fight v anderson would make sense. Surely having half a big toe affected his performance. If not then wow what a machine
