Do you think Fedor can still be considered the number one heavy weight if he joins another mma organization. I know life doesnt end after UFC but will he be facing the same caliber of fighters elsewhere as he did in Pride and as there is the UFC.
I still think he would still be the best in the world. The organization a fighter is in should not determine whether he is eligable to be the best in the world or not, we should judge that by how good of a fighter he is. Fedor is obviously a better fighter than any HW out there in any org, so I think he would still be considered the best. Now, if someone new comes along in another org and has skills that rival Fedor's, then and only then should his status as #1 be questioned.
I don't think he could be the best if he never fought in Pride or if he stays out of major organizations so long we can't compare him to the major players in the game. For the time being though it wont affect his ranking.
If Fedor joins say bodogFIGHT and fights nameless heavyweights for the rest of his career (even if he wins everytime) he would have lost his place on the heavyweight rankings. The fact he isn't joining the UFC makes me question whether he really wants to fight top competition since we all know that now PRIDE is no more, the UFC is the only place where you'll find the best Heavyweights in MMA.

I think he will remain #1 for a while. But not for a long while. Maybe a year or so, depending on how long it takes him to fight a big name. Right now if he goes to K-1 or Bodog he won't be fighting any top 10 HWs unless he fights Hunt again or Barnett happens to join the same org as him. Times will be a changing and other fighters will surpass him by beating multiple top 10 HWs.
I wonder if Fedor has enough drawing power to bring fighters to him. Say he joined Bodog, would HW's who want to be considered the best be willing to join Bodog to fight him?

No, partly because they do't want to get their asses kicked and partly because Feodor won't be considered a top HW unless he is fighting top HWs after a while.
