I never tire of speculation surrounding Fedor. He is the best fighter of our time and age; he has wiped the floor with the Pride HW division, which is an accomplishment that has yet to be matched. I hope he ends up in the UFC, but if Heroes signed him I wouldn't be too upset. They can bring in some good names for him to fight. He is the one to beat in the MMA world, ignoring him is futile.

In Fedor we trust.

As good as he is I have to believe interest will wane and his legacy will suffer if he spends the next couple of years dominating nonames.

Ok, all he wants is to fight in his Sambo competition once a year I think?! and the UFC are bein Assholes and want him exclusively.

I think that this is the big reason why negotiations have stalled. The UFC should be bending backwards to make this deal work out as they can make a ton of money out of Fedor.

I can understand that they dont want him fighting in other MMA orgs, but its a Sambo tournament for crying out loud.

Matt Lindland isn't a noname...

I don't think that will happen. He may disappear from the American market, but he'll still be the phenomenon he was in Asia. K-1 and some of the other organizations out there can offer good competition, and it's not like he hasn't beaten the top guys in the UFC.

The only guy he hasn't fought who I'd really be interested in seeing him fight is Barnett. Is Barnett in the UFC yet? No.

Frankly, the UFC has yet to prove to me that they have anyone who deserves to fight Fedor, so how would it damage his legacy. All it does is prove that the UFC has a second rate heavyweight champion.

Anyways, Fedor has been in rigorous negotiations with the UFC, though my understanding is that both are having a hard time with this Sambo issue. I think eventually someone will give in and Fedor will end up coming to the cage.

Still, if you're tired of waiting for him, you clearly don't know why he's worth waiting for.

Honestly, Fedor will go down as the best MMA fighter ever, if he comes to the UFC or not.

However, in saying that, I think if he came to the UFC and took a 4 fight contract then these are the 4 fights I really want to see him take just to say that he beat everyone that would remotely "threaten" him:

Arlovski
Barnett (UFC better damn well sign him)
Couture (2 of the most respected fighters out there)
Sylvia (just have been wanting to see this)

If he beat all of them, then he wouldve beaten everyone in his Era worth mentioning in the HW division.

Again, Fedor is a legend of mma and it wont matter if he ever had another fight again, just that I believe those 4 fights would be a great way for him to go out on.

I'm a little tired of people saying "ufc are dicks cause they wont let him fight sambo tourney once a year" like they actually know the state of the negotiations.

Im sure there a several reasons why he isn't signed yet, but eventually he will be one way or the other, and we'll get to see some great fights out of him against guys he hasn;t fought yet.

Why do people question Fedor's legacy. Yes pride guys havn't dont well, but look at it this way

Cro Cop lost because he was too cocky, trained the bare minimum and thought he was going to walk through a guy like Godzilla..thats retarded. Also a lack of cage experience plus the fact that he was already looking ahead at couture and you got your reason. (plus he destroyed an undefeated fighter in the UFC with extreme eaze which shows how that works out).

Heath Herring is just a cocky fatass who doesn't hold many victories over people that arn't no names..and always got pummled by major pride stars.

Verdum isn't anything special end of story.

So no I don't see any of Fedors victories as flawed and I do bleive he will dominate the UFC, atleast until he faces captain america, which will be amazing and he'll still probably win.

Pridefan123...brilliant post. Everybody knows Fedor is the man to beat. He has cleaned house in Pride. I'm sure Dana is throwing down some serious money to get Fedor, (if he hasn't already). Fedor would be the icing on the cake for the UFC. Mr. Emelianenko would rake in some serious $$$$$$ for the UFC or any MMA organization that signs him.
