Rashad needs to take a lesson from Roy Nelson on how to throw a right hand when he has the other guy backed against the fence and shitting his pants. This was almost as horrible as Rashad's fight against Rogerio Nogueira where he just patty-caked for 15 minutes.

Agreed. I picked Bader to win this one. He's been steadily improving and has a good streak going while Rashad hadn't fought in nearly 2 years. Recipe for a clear Bader win.

Hopefully Bader gets more respect. He's better than a lot of people give him credit for. He's a hard worker whos had some ups and downs in his UFC career. I give him credit for working through those hard times and bettering himself as a fighter through it all. Not everyone comes in like Jon Jones and just annihilates the competition. Some truly have to work hard (not that Jones doesn't) and grind to get to that next level, facing big losses and lessons in the octagon along the way. Of course Jones has in his own right, but I'm talking about physical gifts and natural talent that just excels.

Anyways, I'll just say I've enjoyed watching Bader grow as a fighter. I like seeing guys come in as mediocre doing so so on a win loss basis, but then steadily improve and excel down the line, thus really becoming a contender. I give them so much respect for persevering and not allowing their speed bumps to stop them. Actually, you gotta give a lot of the lower level guys respect for keeping at it, even if they don't make it to the top. It's relatable. End rant, haha.

I disagree, he still circled for the majority of the fight throwing single punches. He definitely has better posture and more fluid strikes but he was still very tentative in actually exchanging. Hopefully that'll come but he's probably going to get a really tough fight next so may not have the opportunity to exercise it.

baders striking looked good, but it looked like he was throwing at %60 the whole time... i was hoping he would finish his combos with some power strikes and put rashad away..

I dont know why rashad was pressuring bader like that, if he was gonna be so gun shy.. like dude string some punches together and stop with that telegraphed looping shit.. he made it easy for bader, dude barely got hit..

Rashad looked tentative but tried to play it off, atleast that's how it looked to me. I have a feeling his knee hasn't recovered enough to enable him to move like he used to, which is a shame. He did a whole lotta shoulder feinting which I thought was useless. Also, Rashad felt different all throughout the pre-fight media - can't put my finger on what's changed exactly but he no longer feels like he himself believes he is championship material [I know it's a big statement coming from behind the keyboard but that's the impression I got from his interviews and his expressions. Could simply be the long layoff+ringrust].

Good that he's got career options lined up, wish him all the best (y)
Maybe a fight vs Shogun, for the fans?

That being said - never cared for Bader but I recognise the guy is a hard worker and has not come this far by lucky genetics or because he is particularly gifted [compared to the rest]. He's been improving and working his arse off throughout the yrs and I fully respect him for it - I agree he should be next in line vs Cormier, BUT, definitely one of those match-ups I never really cared for.
