I like Josh, but calling Randy a paper champion? C'mon now. Barnett hasn't fought in the UFC in how many years? I remember Barnett saying not to long ago that he didn't want to fight in the UFC. I guess when it's the only place to go you end up changing your toon. Josh, just go to K-1, please?

I would love to see Barnett back in the UFC and I think he's saying the right things to get him there.

If he reminds enough people that he took the belt from Couture once never really lost it. People will want to see the rematch.
He never fought Fedor because he couldn't get past Crocop. Being beaten three times in a row by the second best HW in pride is a good way to ensure you never get to fight the best.

If he wants to be in the UFC it would make sense that he would get one warm up fight and then a title shot, just like it was arranged for Cro Cop (even though that didn't go as planned). During that time he would be randomly tested for illegal substances.

Those are Josh's last ten fights. While he may have lost to Cro Cop twice he holds wins over other great like Big Nog, Mark Hunt, Aleksander Emelianenko. I think he is taking a page out of Lesnar's book running his mouth and calling out Randy in the hopes of being signed. I am all for it, he could only make an already stacked division more stacked. I also find it funny most people think Josh would have a shot at beating Fedor but the second he calls out Randy and everyone starts calling him a steriod abuser and that he should STFU.

Edit:
Dropkick I don't remember him saying that, I figured he would go whenever the deal was sweetest.

i think both dana white and josh barnett went a little far with thier comments randy is still far from best in the world much less unbeatable but is not a paper champ

IMO if barnett and randy fought it'd be close but i'd lean towards barnett

A shot maybe (and honestly you're one of the few people that I've heard say such a thing), but I think Randy has a better one. Certainly his claims about the title still being his, and that he beat Randy, are dubious in the face of his juicing.

Quoted for truth. I'd rep but it says I have to spread it around first.

If Zulu, Coleman, and Gary Goodridge could get fights with Fedor, then Barnett certainly could've. Fedor just didn't want to fight the guy, and that's not a knock against Fedor or anything, and I'm not making any ducking accusations.

It'd be pretty cool if this happens, and they could easily market it, and Barnett does cut a nice promo. I'm not holding my breath, but it'd still be a cool fight.

Barnett 2.
Cro Cop.
Nog.
Fedor (Unlikely).

I don't care who it is, just one of these guys, please.

Josh Barnett has a pretty understandable beef. While I think he went to far calling Randy a paper champ he did beat Sylvia with a balky back and Gabe Gonzaga who while a good fighter was defiantly over hyped. Randy being called unbeatable before he beats Nog, Cro Cop, Barnett, or Fedor is just dumb though. All of those 4 have beaten at least one of the other 3 and Randy hasn't really beaten a top 5 fighter yet.
