No one in UFC ever beat me for it, and as far as I am concerned, no one in the UFC can be the heavyweight champion until they take that belt off of me in the cage.
At the post fight press conference, Dana White said "there isn't anyone in the world that can beat this guy" in reference to Randy. All this because Randy beat a guy that had less than ten fights and only one noteworthy win? That's not even a world championship level fight, let alone reason to proclaim the winner as "unbeatable". This comment was made even more ridiculous by the fact that I was standing right there, living proof that Randy Couture is definitely beatable.
"Unbeatable", Dana says. If he actually believes that, I'm more than willing to step into the cage and prove him wrong. It wouldn't even have to be for the belt. I already got the real belt. They can keep their pile of brass they purport as the UFC Heavyweight Title and put it on their next paper champ."
Lets remember Barnett was stripped of the title for a drug test result, so I can't call him the undefeated champion. I like Barnett, but calling Randy a paper champion is bogus.
edit: link on his site as well Josh Barnett.tv - UFC Heavyweight title? Not in my eyes.

Good for Barnett.
Maybe with that comment Dana will sign him.

I think Josh has heavier hands and a better submission game than Randy so I have to give the edge to Barnett. I would love these two meet up again but I guess we will have to wait and see.

My favorite part about Barnett's website is how in the highlight pictures of his fight with Randy he is on the bottom pulling guard in most of the photos :P
Didn't Randy simply gas in their first fight? I doubt that would happen today ....

Barnett has grown 10 fold since their first fight. Josh Barnett is probaably the least known great fighter in the world. His ground game is smooth his clinch is strong and his takedowns are fantastic. If you don't know how good his ground game is he basically rolled with Nogueira even for 40 minutes throughout 2 fights.

So then you are saying that Liddell should never get to fight Silva?? Silva was the best and beat Rampage twice and Rampage beat Liddell twice.
Styles really do make fights and I think that Barnett should have gotten a chance to fight Fedor.

The world champ is Fedor hands down. baby face is starting to turn in to just a baby with those type of comments. The comments about Gabe are kind of a half truth but its ironic the notable fighter that he did beat (Cro-Cop) has how many wins against Barnett? lol way to be a dick IMO.

i dont know if he's doing this to get attention so he gets signed, or he's saying his honest opinion. if it's the latter then he just lost all my respect for him.
i hope ufc signs him, with low salary. then feeds him gonzaga so gonzaga can beat the shit out of him for saying their fight wasn't "championship level"

Hmm maybe true but still Fedor would crush him like a bug IMO.

That would be a good fight but dont be too quick to assume gonzo would win I think Gabe could win but Im not sure that he would tough call.
