The undefeated UFC contender left an important life and career decision up to his dad, and his father told him to keep on fighting until he becomes champion.

Ultimately, he left the decision to his father. After injuring himself once again and being forced to pull out of yet another bout, top lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov (22-0) was unsure of whether or not he would ever fight again.

The 27-year-old Russian left the decision of what he would do with his life up to his coach and father, Abdulmanap. UFC Tonight reports that the wrestler's dad told his son that he shouldn't give up until he became world champion.

According to the report, Nurmagomedov plans to rest for the rest of this month from his rib injuries, and then attempt to fight again during Super Bowl weekend. Nurmagomedov's management told FS1 that they are interested in fighting Al Iaquinta upon his return, though the New Yorker also just decided to undergo knee surgery that could keep him out of action for more than half a year.

Khabib's dad told him that it wasn't yet his time to leave and that after he gets UFC gold, he can decide for himself whether or not he should retire. The fighter has not competed since 2014, when he beat now champion Rafael dos Anjos.

The undefeated fighter's management told UFC Tonight that Abdulmanap is the boss of Khabib, and that the Dagestani star is obedient to his father. His team also reportedly decided that they need to customize his training camps around him and be more selfish, to ensure that he gets the attention he needs, presumably to perform well and stay healthy.

"Fighting is in my blood," Nurmagomedov said.

"It is my life, and this is what I do best in my life."

Khabib can go F off. Lol his father is allowing him to fight. WHat a bum.

There was a time, before most that I touted Khabib to easily beat Pettis and be champ soon enough. His grappling is rather impressive. But he is brittle like Nate Diaz said. I'm not sure he can ever even get going.

F Russia or Dagestan or whatever he claims as well. Probably feeding him roids and he isn't even injured just afraid to test.

Get rid of that goofy ass hat if you do come back Khabib. You look like a fool.

Needs to switch camps. He knows how to fight, he doesn't have to prove it in the gym everyday, just stay sharp.

If he can make it to the cage someday, LW champ, waste of talent if not. If nothing else he can make world record for longest injury absence, just a few more ridiculous training injuries to beat Cruz.

Khabib needs to ditch his boyhood wrestling bears and upgrade to wrestling alligators like Steve Irwin. Find himself more manly beasts to manhug with.

Khabib injures himself everytime he sneezes. Those brittle bones, he's made of glass. Nick and Nate Diaz would've fought RDA if they had two broken arms and legs. A little bit of weed PED's and duct tape would've fixed those minor injuries right up.

Khabib doesn't have what it takes to wear a don't be scared homey t-shirt. He's been injured 3 consecutive times training in russia. He'd never survive the mean streets of west linn oregon.
