What concerns me about Diego's drop is his mentality. I remember him posting on Twitter when he was set on his 145 interest that he basically felt like he could take their punches all day without worrying about getting knocked out. (Paraphrasing) I actually responded saying that I hope he doesn't get careless because punches add up. Fortunately, he replied agreeing with me and said he'd most certainly try to avoid taking damage. He'd rather use his strength advantage by taking guys down and ground and pounding them. His words on Twitter so who knows how much weight that holds.

Still, if he thinks guys can't hurt him at 145, he's in for a rude awakening if he gets too careless. It's 10 pounds lighter, does he really think 145ers hit a lot less harder than 155ers?

I reeeeeally would like it if he beat Lamas, but I've learned not to get my hopes up too much these days when it comes to Diego. I'm just going to hope for an exciting fight which he usually delivers at least. If he wins, that just makes it that much more better.

This, he battered Sanchez all night long with them. I guess Lamas did learn a thing or two, he was calm and composed and his JJ was on point.

Not sure if he can hang in there with Chad or Frankie, but he would be a fun fight against Conor.

Well that fight cost me more than I bargained for. Took Gastelum ITD pre-fight then again after rd 1 thinking he'd wake up at even money (he was a 3.5:1 fave pre-fight). Got excited in the 4th, but when he couldn't finish, I figured that was it. Draw if I got lucky with 10-8s (didn't expect this at all) or a loss. Yuck. Respect to Magny, but Gastelum is a ******* easy target. He got hit way too many times, and his clinch game was weak af.

Just watched Cejudo vs Formiga, man, what a snooze. Nothing worse than a top wrestler vs a top Jiu Jitsu fighter pretending to be strikers.
Cejudo could take the fight to the ground any time he wanted, but wanted no business there because, you know, Formiga has high level Jitz, choosing to do it only into the 10 sec left for scoring, while Formiga never ever tried to take Cejudo down, because, you know, Cejudo is high level Olympian wrestler... Fvck me.
