Ronda Rousey says she's going to 'disappear' after her next fight

Ronda Rousey has a been a household name for the better part of the last two years, and she knows it. She popped up everywhere promoting her fights against Cat Zingano and Bethe Correia, and with her third and final fight of the year this weekend against Holly Holm, she’s going through the drill one more time. But after that fight, Rousey says she’s had enough time in the public eye — at least for a little while.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Rousey said she was going take a break from promoting her fights until next July and instead focus on the various films she’s slated to appear in:

“I’m selling a product and I have to be out there; I don’t have the option not to be, but after this fight, I’m definitely going to let some people miss me, for sure. Believe me, there’s nothing I would like to do more than disappear for a while. I would like to wait until UFC 200 to fight again. I’m going to be filming [movies] in the meantime, so I’m still going to be keeping busy. When I’m filming it’s kind of weird, I’m on camera the whole time, but nothing really goes out until a year or two later. It is kind of like disappearing in a way.”

It's a matter of momentum. If you can't grasp the notion her stocks dropped damatically for losing to another female, a 135er one, in devastating fashion, that would be worse than saying UFC didn't promote Ronda.
Hell, yourself said she shouldn't fight Cyborg because if she lost she wouldn't sell that good, and this is an obvious thing.

1. Her stock has fallen, but she hasn't really fallen from "Hollywood". Her stock has fallen big time as a fighter but I still think Hollywood or the WWE sees dollar signs in her. The WWE capitalize heavily off of their beast Brock Lesnar, despite the fact he was last seen in the UFC cowering on the mat twice in a row. Ronda's still a big name, she'll just have forever lost her mystique. For more info, see Fedor. I didn't even say her stock didn't drop, that's something random you added on top.

2.

3. Here's the proof of what I have always said about the Cyborg fight. Holly Holm? We're ALL gonna love her next fight. You earlier today named her the "Bantamweight Queen". We all love this girl. She did what most of us always wanted to see:- straight up battered Ronda Rousey. Was amazing. You know what I can't wait for? Her next fight. Holly Vs Miesha would be brilliant for example. If Cyborg beats Ronda...boom...nothing Cyborg can't fight in the UFC, the weight class doesn't exist. Either create an entire weight class, despite the fact that Straw and Bantam are already really shallow...or let Cyborg fight in Invicta instead. I said the fight wont and shouldnt happen if Cyborg cant make 135. I never said I didnt want to see it. I still do. Cyborg just has to fight at 135 for it to happen and if she cant, be it through no fault of her own, it wont happen.

Think about it. When she first appeared in films, people were saying,

"Look, there's that tough mean woman who can even beat up men."

When they see her now, what do they say?

"There that really arrogant woman who thought she was the best. Then she met Holly. Then she got embarrassed."

That's what I see happening anyway. I don't see how she escapes that without first putting it behind her and taking some other fights. Without the fight mystique, there is no draw.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder young grasshopper.

And Cyborg is a hottie IMO, I like her, not those training/fighting pics where all veins are pushed to their limit...but she has awesome modeling shots.

Quit being so shallow! Different strokes for different folks.

I in absolutely no way have a bit of a crush on Ronda and was absolutely delighted to see her getting smashed. Not really a fan at all. Ronda's way too muscular for my liking.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder but if I said "Katie Hopkins is gorgeous" you'd burst out laughing. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder...so as the beholder, why is it wrong of me to not be attracted to she-Wanderlei?

The only time my signals are mixed is when you're chasing Captain with Yager :D

But yeah, probably throw me one quote that I've ever in my entire time on the site said I find Ronda Rousey to be beautiful once or something like that Cal.

In MMA, the only bird I think's proper gorgeous is Gina. Not overboard on muscles, cracking smile, not much arguing about that. Then again as Cups said Roxanne is like the cutest person ever. Not in a sex way, more in an "I'd like to spontaneously buy her socks and see her face light up" kind of way.

I'd like to see her in just the socks personally. :thumb02:

Spot on with Gina too, what's not to like? (rhetorical question).
