The only thing I agree with is that YES, people do forget how good Franklin is sometimes, but that can be said for all fighters after they lose a fight or two. Yeah, he beat Tanner twice, but when you bring up the fact that Franklin was sick and what not against Silva you have to also bring up the fact that Tanner had a drinking problem back then and he even said he came into fights sometimes after a drink or two, so we might as well take Tanner off your list of good fighters he has beaten then if we're going with that logic. DeWees.....do I really need to even say anything about him, he isn't bad, but he isn't good either, he is just ok. I've NEVER seen Rivera considered one of the best strikers in the world. Quarry is/was a good fighter and that was a good win for Franklin. As far as Shamrock goes, both Rich and Tito faught him when he was way past his prime and should've retired. Loiseau was a good fighter and that was a good win for Rich. Okami for some reason didn't even show up for their fight until the end of the third round. MacDonald is a good ground fighter, but he was nowhere near ready to fight someone at the top of the ladder. The list pretty much does NOT go on, because the only other fighters worth mentioning beat him. Don't get me wrong, Rich is great, but he is nowere near the best P4P MW in the world. You have guys like Frank Shamrock, Anderson Silva, Filho, Lindland, Henderson, etc... that I think are much better than Franklin.
Who are these hardcore fans that you speak of and where do you come off telling anyone on here who is and who isn't a real fan just because they don't agree with you. Does thinking Franklin isn't the best MW make me less of a fan??? Give me a break
