Not going to talk about soccer or politics, sorry. Well maybe: I played soccer, I have traveled, am tolerant and donít think I am better than anyone because I was lucky to be born in a certain place. That out of the way- letís talk MMA:
I just watched several of Fedorís fights online. He did not deserve that loss against Kohsaka it was indeed a fluke.
Sometimes he pulls out of bad situations on the ground- and I will come back to that shortly.
Seems the biggest names he has fought have been: Cro Cop, Noguiera, Sobral, maybe Coleman, Randleman, and Herring. In the case of Cro Cop, Noguiera, and Sobral we are looking at wins by decision, not decisive victories.
Back to the bad situations: Sometimes the position in the ring played a role, i.e. using the ropes. Then again I think many times the opposing fighter couldnít capitalize on the position, and let it go. Of course against Randleman Fedor totally reversed a bad situation in an amazing move.
There really are only 2 possibilities:
1. He rises to the occasion, depending on the fighter.
2. He is going to get his first real loss against someone in the UFC.
It is also my opinion that Randy would not let Fedor reverse a bad situation as easily as Fedor has in some fights in the past. If Randy gets Fedor down, Randy will most likely capitalize. As I was saying before, if Mir gets his head out of his butt and back into the ring he would also capitalize on the ground. Sylvia may also be a really, really tough fight for Fedor (heaven help us if Tim has another title reign...), Arlovski would go down, Nog would lose again, Herring would crash, and CroCop would probably lose again. Cabbage would be an awesome punching bag for Fedor, and past that where did Brandon Vera disappear to?
