It has everything to do with it. Vera WAS up to face Sylvia when the HW division was piss poor, and I agreed with it at the time.

And as it goes for Gonzaga, who would you have had face Couture??? pretty sure the UFC was bettin that CroCop was gonna win, settin up Couture Vs CroCop, Gonzaga won so therefore....

I didnt put him down im stating facts. Nog and CroCop.....top 5, Vera not even top 10. Im just sayin he needs to prove himself amongst some of these top 10, and I'll say it again if he beats Sylvia I will say he is a contender in the division.

I'd like to see AA and Nog fight for #1 very much.

I think it's a bad matchup for AA, but if he means to be #1 again he has to fight these fights. I think it's a solid test for Nog too against a guy he hasn't fought before.

CC and Nog? Give me something new for a change instead of pride guy vs pride guy, but if they must fight, ill still watch

Telligman was given a HC bout with Sylvia awhile back, when he had done absolutely nothing to earn that spot. One could argue that the division wasn’t deep then, and there were no other serious contenders/threats, but we all know that’s a load of BS. There’s always someone that can challenge for the title, and whether you’re a fan of the guy or not, Brandon Vera was given that opportunity. Just so happens that UFC signed the bigger name talent, guys like Nog, Cro Cop, and possibly Fedor. Now Vera’s chances of getting his title bout have decreased significantly, but as I said in my very first post, he’s a possibility along with Cro Cop and Nog (noting that all three win their upcoming bouts).
Well seems we have come to an agreement. Im not gonna write off Vera as a contender in the HW division that would be just silly.

However, I still believe that Vera will be behind CroCop and Nog (assumin Nog and CC win there next fights) in the title chase. The Vera Vs Sylvia fight is gonna be a huge match for Vera's career, we shall see how he does.

Well done with your argument G-S-P, I thought you were a little off with ya first post, but you have proved your knowledge!
