If not Fedor, then how about Big Nog!
Since a deal hasn't been reached yet with Fedor and the UFC then I think the person who should get a crack at Randy is Big Nog. C'mon who wouldn't want to see that match. If Randy can beat Big Nog then thier would be no question that he is one of the best. If Nog beats Randy then it would be good to see him as a champion again.

Good idea. And there is enough time in between event for that to happen prolly.
CroCop fights in september (assume he wins), so maybe get CroCop Vs Nog for late november or early december then have the winner fight Couture in February (that is when couture is rumoured to be fighting next)

They were saying Nog would prob fight someone for the number one contender spot in like November if Fedor doesnt sign. That guy at this point will most likely be Andre Arlovski if they can get a contract extension worked out for him.

I still believe Nog needs to further prove himself inside the octagon, maybe a few more undercard bouts to get things rolling, until eventually challenging for the title. Same can be said about Cro Cop, especially after losing his last fight.
Another guy that seems to go under the radar though, is Brandon Vera. Before his contract dispute last year, the guy was inline to challenge Sylvia for the title, which didn't end up happening. Furthermore, there are quite a few options yet to be decided, however I think it's safe to say that Nog, Cro Cop and Vera (if all proves well, and they win each of their next bouts) will be up for a potential title shots.

Now I know your new and ya prolly dont know much about Pride so hear we go.
CroCop and Big Nog are considered by everyone as part of the top 5 HW. Now Vera has beatin one fighter really worth mentioning and that is a Frank Mir (who is a mere shadow of his former self)
IF Vera beats Tim Sylvia then you will have a case for contendership, but mentioning Vera in the same breath as CroCop and Nog is well, ridiculous.
And to Wise, yeah that is an excellent idea, I like the sound og Big Nog Vs AA, never really gave that one much thought....hmmm.....

Don't know about that but given both fighter's last two fights i would have to favour Randy. Now that CC is training in a cage though he will hopefully be in better podition to show the skills that put him in many people's eyes as #2 HW in the world behind Fedor.

I would agree with you that he has not beaten anyone worth mentioning but he was the number one contender before the contract troubles. With that said the heavy weight class is now so strong the UFC can afford to give him a few more fights first.
Nog could do with one more fight before he gets a shot at Randy. I just think he needs to be sold to the UFC a little more before potentially becoming champ.
