I agree, I don't see him fighting in both divisions. If he loses to Page, I don't see them giving him an immediate title shot. I definitely see them hyping him as the former pride MW champion if he were to fight Silva.

Henderson and Silva would be a very fun fight to watch, but I think it's a bad match up for Anderson. I don't think his bjj game is good enough to submit Henderson, but he may be able to keep him in his guard. I don't see him knocking Hendo out either, nor do I see him defending the TD very well.

What a stud

I think that if Henderson comes down to unify the title at 185, he will smash either Rich or Anderson. Rich and Nate are great fighters, but Dan isn't going to be as easily dominated as they were.

Personally, I think that Henderson is #2 in the world at 185 (following Lindland), and I don't think Anderson Silva is a good as him, or Filho, or Kang, or Misaki. Granted, that's just my opinion, but I think that there are alot of problems for Anderson in that matchup.
I think Anderson's striking is better than Wanderlei's for sure. I mean, where did aggression get Wanderlei against Henderson? It got him his ass-whooped. Anderson is a much more cool and collected striker and he doesn't throw those looping Chute Box signature punches, he's much more unpredictable on the feet.

Wanderlei's aggression has worked against opponents with alright striking skills, but as soon as he's put in a fight with a much more technical striker (ie: Cro Cop) he just looks a little out-classed and I think Anderson's striking is right up there with Mirko.

I agree with you on the rest of your points as usual though Ironman.

You must have never watch any of anderson silva's fights, to say his striking isn't better than wandy???? Anderson is rated as one of the best striker in all of mma, and by the way his striking is so good, he has never lost a fight due to someone standing with him. Only losses he has is decision and submissions and has never been knocked out or even close to being knocked out.

Thunderdome! Put Silva, Franklin, Henderson and Jackson all into the octagon at the same time, and let one winner walk out. Every man for himself, alliances... whatever they come up with on the fly. Four men enter, one man leaves!

Rampage vs. Henderson is a tough call, but I have a hard time seeing Anderson beating Dan. Henderson will be too hard to hold down a la Marquart and too strong in the clinch to get KO'd a la Franklin. If he gets Anderson on his back, he'll be much more dangerous from that position than Lutter was. Lutter was exhausted and didn't have Henderson's superior wrestling, so he was eventually caught. Henderson would have to make a big mistake to get caught like that.
Yeah, lutter didn't have henderson's superior wrestling, he only has a Black Belt in BJJ, that really means nothing compared to superior wrestling skills......

Nice. Silva has a black belt, too, buddy. So does B.J. Penn. That didn't keep them off their backs against good wrestlers.
And no, that wasn't a wrestling vs. BJJ post I made. I'm just saying the best wrestlers are very good at keeping opponents on their backs. And Henderson is one hell of a wrestler.
No need for the sarcasm.
