No surprise here.

Diego Sanchez done with 145, moving back to 155

After just one fight at featherweight, Diego Sanchez is headed back to the UFC's lightweight division, where he once competed for the title.

The era of featherweight Diego Sanchez will last just one fight. In a tweet published on Tuesday, the first ever Ultimate Fighter winner said he's returning to the 155 lbs division for his next fight, citing the difficulties of cutting the additional 10 lbs without the use of IVs.

Sanchez (25-8) lost a unanimous decision to top 10 featherweight contender Ricardo Lamas in the UFC Fight Night: Gastelum vs. Magny co-main event last November. It was his first fight since a highly controversial split decision win over Ross Pearson in June 2014. Sanchez is 3-4 in his last 7 fights spanning three different weight classes, and all of his wins -- vs. Pearson, Takanori Gomi, and Martin Kampmann -- are heavily disputed decisions, with the Pearson one as the worst of the trio. His most notable performance in the past few years was his thriller with Gilbert Melendez at UFC 166, which ended in a decision loss.

There's no word yet as to whom will welcome Sanchez back to the division where he fought (and lost to) B.J. Penn for the UFC title.
