Why Bisping won
I was yelling my head off at the end of the fight, probably like most of you, saying how the heck did that go to Bisping!?
But... looking at it from a purely boxing perspective (remember that many UFC judges are boxing judges), Bisping probably landed more punches in the second and third rounds.
One judge saw it the way 97% of UFC fans did and scored it 30-27 Hamill. Face it, Bisping acted like a scared little boy nervously treading around in the ring, and CLEARY lost in the minds of any true MMA fan.

scoring is based on octagon control, aggressiveness, takedowns, striking, etc. bisping sucked all over that damn octagon. the only people that saw bisping win were the ones watching a rerun of him fighting josh haynes

Judging Boxing and MMA are not the same, cause in boxing you dont have to score takedown and submissions. Hammel should have never left bisbing get off the mat when he took him down. The more time on the matt the more its in hammels favor, who cares if ur opponent mocks that you only have one strength. You don't go away from it just to show him that you are more well rounded. Bisbing got matt to fight in his gameplan and not matts. Unfortunately, Matt I thought did a better job at every aspect of the fight. But I wasn't the judge!
