Mirko got beaten down and his best days are over, accept it.
Personally I think it takes alot away from Kongos win because even though Mirko did hardly anything Kongo STILL looked pretty bad during the fight. I mean he has a bit improved ground game but god I just miss the old Mirko.

That's a bummer about his rib....but I also agree that his days are numbered. 2 bad losses in a row to guys that should not really beat him
Who took a piss in your cereal this morning dude. I wasnt hating on him but i cant deny that im not disappointed with his timidity. I still love Mirko and I was only joking about the milk comment trying to brign a bit of humor into the situation i wasnt trying to offend you jeez. As for my record yes i am saddened because i had a nice betting record and i had just got that 5000 points by guessing Koschecks take downs on St. Pierre so it was sad to part with them so soon lo. you need to chill out i wasnt attacking anyone or anything dude. peace

Dude Im not nut hugging im saying he looked bad they both looked bad. Im sorry but Kongo is not a top contender Mirko has changed and hes not the same anymore. I mean think about it not only did Mirko basicly just stand their the entire match but he had a rib broken and was kneed in the nuts three times and Kongo still couldnt finish him. Im not making excuses for Mirko. HE DID TERRIBLE yes but Kongo still didnt look good. He was sloppy and throwing a headkick every two seconds just praying to connect. Congratulations to him he did beat Mirko but i still dont consider him even near top competition. Though I will say my mind has completely changed about Houston Alexander. Now THAT WAS DOMINATION.

Now just to remind you this is only MY OPPINION dont let it bother you so badly because its not there to offend you dude, its just how I feel. Once again PEACE

i've got to give crocop props for even getting back into the cage with kongo. seriously look what happened to BJ penn after getting a rib ****ed up. it's his own fault for not putting the pressure on kongo and hurting kongo more, but i REALLY hope to see him back and in top form, i feel sorry for the guy at least if he was losing to big names he owuldn't feel so bad.

The difference between Cro Cop and Penn is that Kongo caused Mirkos rib to break by kneeing him while Penn did it to himself and Hughes just got lucky.

I hate the phrase "Cro-cop broke a rib" or "awww that's why, he broke his rib."

When it was Kongo doing all the breaking of that rib.
I equate this to the same way people were talking when Hughes beat BJ.

Truth is if your opponent is the one that breaks your bones then he is the one that is doing well in the fight. It seems like people consider a broken bone almost like an accident. As If the fighter came in to the fight already injured.

"You can light a fire for a man and he will be warm for a day."
OR
"You can light a man on fire and he'll be warm for a lifetime."

My Top 6
BW = Miguel Torres
LW = Tyson Griffin
WW = GSP
MW = Gegard Mousasi
LHW = Lyota Machida
HW = Fedor

that whole fight i was yelling at the tv saying "fight back" to mirko. maybe he's not used to the ufc scoring system or something, but you can't just take it easy on a 3 round fight. time goes by FAST.

any long time mma fan didnt want mirko to lose. that said i still give props to kongo, he beat mirko decisively.

i think that the axe kick to the body (when mirko was laying down) was the one that broke his ribs
