"Its easy to beat Conor, just wrestle **** him" -Eddie Alvarez

The only way is to play mental game in your favour in my opinion... once someone moves the ultimate goal out of his sight and makes him concentrated on that particular fighter, it will be the day connor will lose his power.

I believe he can be easily pointed in that direction if you humiliate him publicly... because it's obvious he's hiding a weaknesses with all that golden watches, cash, cars and suites.

Torn on Eddie. People have forgot (or many are just new/ufc fans) how good he was and how many fun fights he has put on.

I get that he needs to talk as this is his last opening at a shot at the ufc belt.

But I dont care for the style he last used even though I "get it".

UFC is full of terrible match making and now top guys knowing 1 loss ruins everything so playing "the game" is smart money even if it isnt who they really are.

Seriously UFC has boring match making. I should start a thread I could go on for hours.

Yeah Alvarez's fights with Chandler are still two of my favourite fights of all time. Will be interesting to see if Bendo loosens up a bit in Bellator and let's it go a bit more.

To be fair to Alvarez he has fought Melendez, Pettis and Cerrone - If i was a lightweight fighting those guys I'd employ a heavy wrestling gameplan too. I think should he face RDA down the line we'll see him look to strike a bit more. We'll I hope so anyways.

I think Nate trashes Eddie. If not Eddie wins a close fight like vs Pettis.

I really wish Khabib would have just stayed out of this for a while. I have belief that Ferg can take him out but hard task and not a fun fight.

So many chances at good fights at LW.

Conor vs Nate
El Cucuy vs. Conor
El Cucuy vs. Nate
Nate vs. Pettis.
Barboza vs Pettis

Not exactly a tune up fight but would have liked to see Khabib work a couple fights up on his route back and fight say Melendez.

I still have no idea why they didnt book a top LW fight for the Conor card in case of replacement. They had Ferg.....they forced the Khabib matchup for zero reason. El Cucuy and Conor in same pressers talking up a potential next fight.....made too much sense for the UFC to actually do.

McGregor will only end up bankrupt if he isn't paying for things right now. The problem with all of these rich people is they take out leases and tabs and get shit on tick which ends up catching up to them.

McGregor could click his fingers and get a permanent media job with any major MMA network in the world. He could live extremely comfortably if he never fought again as of right now. He'll only end up like those other lads if he's not paying for stuff right now.

Im 100% reserving judgement of Conor's character until his career is over, or at least winding down.
I truely believe he presents a character and its not a reflection of what he is truely like.

I say this as we've seen a few times after fights when he's dropped out of character and he's completely different.
I also have listened to hours and hours of Jon Kavangher and he seems the most humble down to earth guy you could ever meet - its seems to me that guys like him and Gunni Nelson wouldnt tolerate Conor if he was genuinely like how he acts in press conferences.

I could be wrong but i just think Conor is doing the same thing as Chael becuase he knows it makes him rich.

I love how they still will say "Yeah, he was an arrogant and cocky loud kid when he first walked into the gym". But as you say, they wouldn't tolerate it and John didn't because if I'm correct, he rocked up to Conor's house once and told him in front of his parents that if he didn't start taking it seriously and getting his act together then he can find somewhere else to train.

Conor is doing it to make him rich, but you guys know people yeah? haha. Sometimes people are attention seekers in groups but sound on their own. Sometimes people are loud and annoying yet cool at other times. Conor is someone who wants to live up to the cameras and make a headline every time a big occasion comes around, but when he's in the gym or talking about things he's actually interested in (martial arts, not money) then you can tell he's a sound enough lad. His whole Notorious documentary was him just being a normal guy since he was back at home and not dealing with the big media and spotlights of America.

Don't you EVER compare Muhammad Ali to Conor McGregor. Don't you know that Muhammad Ali fought against the system and racism for his beliefs? I mean, sure none of that is relevant to what you said or anything about Muhammad Ali's trash talk....but you know, don't compare them to each other cause....you know....reasons.

All these guys admitting they don't have enough confidence in their stand up to strike with Conor makes me sad.

Its like.. "Stand with Conor?! Hell no! I don't want any part of that, bro -- I know my limits. My only prayer of beating Conor would be to out wrestle him."

Imagine how mentally crushed these guys would be if they tried to take Conor down and didn't get it.

Even they don't seem to believe they have much of a chance standing with Conor and that isn't a good thing.
