What happened to Kalib Starnes when he "cracked" a rib against Kendall Grove?? He ******* quit almost immediatley! What about BJ Penn when he fought Hughes.....he lasted about 3 minutes. And finally what about when Rampage fought Shogun?? He sat there and took soccer kicks to the head rather than another rib shot.

Broken ribs TOTALLY DISABLES a fighter. You use your lungs to breathe and they are directly behind your ribs. Wanna try to throw a punch?? Well guess what...your pectorals, serratus and lat tie ins are all connected to...guess what.....your ******* ribs.

Mirko stayed in there and did not quit immediatley like Starnes, he lasted longer angainst a much better striker than Hughes and he did way better than Rampage.

You can tell who is a fighter and who is not on this forum. To say Mirko has no heart is a ******* INSULT and you should try being in his shoes. How was he doing before the rib injury???? ******* great. Dominated, had him in the mount. Post injury....he still did amazing by taking body kick after body kick, and much lesser men would have quit.

Yes, he lost his fight to Gomzaga because he took him lightly. But to say he gave up here is a ******* laughable! Get off your ******* high horse and go die!

Good ******* post I agree , some mma fans are a joke , you just gotta deal with it , or ignore em

I don't even want to think about that right now. He didn't look really great in his debut, true, but it can be attributed to Octagon jitters. At least, this is what I tell myself.

I am not making excuses for Cro Cop. Maybe he does not have it anymore. He took his own money and got a cage, he hired Dean Lister to come live with him for a month and he hired Remi Bojasky to come and help him with the striking. He came into this fight and gave his BEST EFFORT. It was not good enough. You can take awy his talent but not his heart.

Have any of you guys tried to fight with a broken rib? Until you have, you cannot pass judgement. Say he is not talented fine. But dont say he gave up.

Cro Crap

His last two fights have been shit. He has been horrible, and has wasted space on fight cards that could have gone to fighters.

I am sick of all this dudes HYPE, sure he WAS a great fighter, but that was long ago. It is time he stopped OR got his shit together.

If I were Dana White I would not want the last fight on his contract. This needs to stop and the best way for it to stop is for him to leave.

Here's the thing: Mirko is much better than that last performance. I refuse to believe that this is the same Mirko who smoked Silva & Barnett in the night, the same Mirko who brutally KO'ed Vovy, the same Mirko who kicked Aleks' head off, the same....you get it. I know, Silva's a LHW and Barnett just got done having a war with Nog, but still, Cro Cop smoked them on the same night, and performed really, really well. It's just night & day.

He goes from smoking Barnett to losing to Kongo? I just don't get it.

has Mirko every faced someone as big and athletic as Kongo before...(and yes i know that Aleks was bigger)...what I'm saying is if you have a 6"4 ripped, athletic, kickboxer who knows how to cover up, block headkicks, etc. I think you can have alot of skill in the clinch like Randy, but sometimes, if your as strong as Kongo and have underhooks, wtf can you do?

Kongo is a B level fighter AT BEST. That is how far Cop has fallen down the food chain.

His head is messed UP, and he does not belong in the UFC like this. Dana just needs to remove his contract let him fight smaller shows and if he can make it back fine.

He fought bob sapp. 6'5", 350 lbs. Primarily muscle also. Perhaps not as skilled.

lol go on offence hahaha

I feel you man. Mirko looked like shit last night. But what I'm saying can apply to alot of smaller HW's when they run into a guy like Kongo. When he's got Underhooks on you, against the cage, your pretty much in for a beating.
