On top of all that, he's a much more well-rounded fighter compared to when he was last in UFC. People used to criticize him for fighting to decisions all the time, but he's finished his opponent in each of his five wins since leaving UFC.
He also has a lot more personality than he gets credit for.
He's one of the best in the world at 185, and deserves to be fighting the best at 185.

Horn has 16 losses and 5 draws. Not to mention the majority of his 79 wins have been in smaller companies to no name fighters.
Baroni? When did he beat him? 03? decision lol.
Baroni has 8 losses and only 10 wins lol
He lasted under 3 minutes with Fedor.
Newton, Lutter and Salaverry are not big wins.
Newton would have been a big win 3 years ago.
Lutter has 9 wins and 4 losses with no wins over anybody worth talking about, maybe Cote.
Salaverry? That was a decision win in 2002.
So again... how is he the best at all?

They need to get him. Middleweight is weak right now but it will get good and deep real quick if they bring in a few certain guys
UFC 185 Pound Division now
Anderson Silva
Rich Franklin
Potential UFC 185 Pound Division
Anderson Silva
Dan Henderson
Matt Lindland
Paulo Filho
Denis Kang
Rich Franklin
Got good quick huh? that is what needs to happen IMO.

Matt Lindland is a top MW, The UFC MW division is by far their weakest, It's good for both parties to kiss and make up.
Lindland always looks like such a bad-ass when he is cornering for Hendo, Almost as bad-ass as Mark Coleman lurking in the corner yelling instructions.
Lindland looks like a Bookie and Coleman looks like a strip club bouncer when the're in street clothes.

Horn's still a tough guy to finish, and Lindland was fighting in a higher weight class. He still whomped Horn. Horn was coming off nice wins against Prangley & Sonnen, too.
Baroni was actually a really tough guy during that time period, coming off nice wins against Menne & Suloev the second time around.
Salaverry was a nice win, because Salaverry was coming off a nice win against Semenov. Decision or not, it was a nice win.
The Newton win was ok since Lindland kicked his ass, but Newton just isn't the same anymore.
Also, Lindland has nice wins against Ricardo Almeida, Vitale, and Pat Miletich.
I think the idea of "If he didn't beat an A-list fighter, then he ain't nuthin'" is ridiculous. Lindland beat a bunch of solid fighters, almost beat the current LHW champion, and would be a welcome addition to a division that needs welcome additions.
Lindland is a badass corner guy, same for Coleman. Though, my favorite corner guy has to be Murilo Bustamante. He just looks like he hates everyone involved when he's cornering, including the guy he's cornering. Hell, he probably does.

Bullshit. If you aren't fighting top ten fighters then you are not a top ten fighter.
How can you say how good you are compared to the other top guys if you aren't fighting any of them????
He has ok wins over mediocre fighters. Period.

I wouldn't bet that we'll see Lindland anytime soon in the UFC, but I'd like to see it happen.

Well if your going to talk about improving 185 might and how they should bring in guys they have/had problems atleast give "The Legend" of the UFC some respect and mention him. (BTW if your actually too dense to get who I'm talking about right now think his name rhymes with Hank Pamrock)
I really don't know why he never gets brought up in middleweight discussions anymore, he is simply amazing.
