The Lindland factor

Amid all the talk of botched decisions, Cro Cop meltdowns, Fedor signings and Brock Lesnar sightings, there hasn't been so much talk about all the attention Matt Lindland has been getting.
Now, I know Joe Rogan usually doesn't mind talking about unsigned fighters -- and I like that -- but he must have dropped the name Matt Lindland about six or seven times when they were introducing Rampage vs. Hendo. Hell, he even mentioned that many people thought Lindland beat Rampage in their fight!
Then they gave us a really, really good, long look at Matt when he was talking to Henderson between rounds.
On top of all that, Henderson's remarks about fighting at 205 instead of 185 make me wonder if they are trying to avoid a potential bout between the two.
It seems like UFC has forgotten any ill will toward Lindland, and Lindland certainly isn't avoiding UFC events. With this apparent lack of any heat between them -- and a very hazy middleweight title picture following Silva vs. Franklin II -- it seems the timing is right for a return of the Law.
What do you guys think?

Bring in the Law.

Henderson should drop down to MW and bring in Filho to spice up the, IMO, thin middleweight division.

Well, he did beat Baroni (twice), subbed Van Arsdale faster than Randy did, beat Lutter, Salaverry and Newton, gave Fedor a pretty damn good go, and was the first man to knock out Jeremy Horn in about 100 fights. He also did very well against the current UFC LHW champion, if you recall.
On top of all that, he's a much more well-rounded fighter compared to when he was last in UFC. People used to criticize him for fighting to decisions all the time, but he's finished his opponent in each of his five wins since leaving UFC.
He also has a lot more personality than he gets credit for.
He's one of the best in the world at 185, and deserves to be fighting the best at 185.

I never got warm and fuzzy about Lindland. He's boring as hell, but he's good at what he does. He's top talent though, and I don't see how the UFC can't go after him unless they're still steaming about the gambling t-shirt incident.

Lindland is a top 5-10 middleweight. There's no reason he shouldn't be in the ufc right now. Lindland/Couture/Henderson are the most awesome wrestling trio ever.

Lindland should be in there, he is a top 5 middleweight IMO and I would love to see those other 4 beat the crap out of him. Lindland is good but not as good as HE thinks, he is a perfect example of someone that is a legend in their own mind!

If by "Memphis" you mean "Los Angeles," then yes, they were in "Memphis."
