Nogueira or Vera would probably be the favorites due to the fact that their size and skill sets best fit a Grand Prix. Shogun would obviously have a shot since he never seems to tire and that is a very good thing in a GP. Couture would have a shot but I think he would have a lot of trouble if he made it to the final since he really wouldn't be able to prep for his opponent.

Mirko "CroCop" Filipovic. Yes, I've said it. In all honesty, if there was a GP, I'd actually bet on Mirko.

I would disagree Couture fans always talk about how what makes Randy great is his gameplans well going in to the semis and finals of a fight your gameplan isn't going to be as solid natural talent takes over in fact you can easily make the arguement that the most Athletic and skilled fighter seems to win not the smartest. 2003 MWGP Wanderlei Silva best athlete in the tournament. 2004 HWGP - Fedor best fighter . 2005 MWGP - Shogun best athlete. 2006 OWGP - Cro Cop most skilled striker. Their is no debating that Couture isn't the most atheltic or skilled fighter at anything so I feel his style would be hampered by a system that rewards rare athletism and a strong skill.

bj penn

The most solid advice I can give to anyone who fights BJ Penn is...do not motivate the guy. Lets face it, BJ although talented, is naturally lazy. Your job is to NOT convince him to step on that treadmill.
