Hamill- where's the $$$$

Been lurking, been wondering. Hamill doesn't get the bonus cash because of the loss. Bisbing already has a hefty contract plus now the bonus. If Dana was sincere about a fair rematch maybe he should throw some money Hamill's way so that he can pay the bills whilst he trains. He has an unearned loss put on his record, at least he should be given some financial support so that he can train and feed his family too.

yes, that makes sense, so then many other fighters who lose there fights come up and ask the same thing, then when denied ask why the deaf guy (figure of speech no offense intended) gets special treatment? dude, that would just lead dana and the ufc into further problems and doesn't make sense politically...

I would think the rematch would include a bigger offer for Hamill - including the winning bonus. Despite the loss Hamill gained a)more respect b)better fighter reputation c)value.

An idea: In all "grudge matches", the win bonus could be a bit higher. These are fights where the audience really expect the fighters to smash each others face in, but still, thats usually not the case. Or better yet, there could be an extra bonus if you finish your opponent, like they've had on TUF.

haha yeah thats it, we make our money off of the fights... riiiiighhttt... there's this little thing called sponsorship and royalty cheques in a fiscal year an average fighter (not in ufc) will make $60,000+ in sponsorships and royalty cheques from either dvd sales, t-shirts, posters, anything like that.
