Rate A Fighter

OK so lets see wwho the people on the MMA forum think is the best overall fighter by basing it on 5 parts of a fighter

1. Stand UP
2. Ground Game
3. Take Down Defense
4. Victories/Who he has beat
5. Your opion

base each out of 10

for example
10 for standup
4 gor ground
7 for take down defense
1 for victories
10 for opion
so that would be 32

i will post a new fighter every day

also if there is a certain fighter u want me to do pm me him and at the end ill post the complete list of all scores

fighter ANDREI ARLOVSKI

To be honest i haven't seen enough of K-1 or to Sapp to say. I've only seen his loss to Nog in pride.

This is a cool idea. Considering this is the UFC section of the board, perhaps start with some fighters that fight in the UFC, or are slated to in the future?

Demian Maia may be the Fred Astaire of jiu-jitsu, but it’s too bad Silva is the Gene Kelly of kicking everyone’s ass.

1. 4, it's not technical, but it can be effective.

2. 3, he did do decent against Nogueira, but that fight was impressive because of Nogueira. Sapp outweighed dude by 100 pounds, and was still armbarred.

3. 2, Fujita managed to get him down, and Nogueira did, too. Sapp was taken down by a guy who was 100 pounds lighter. That's not good.

4. 4, his best win was against Tamura, and Tamura is basically a MW.

5. 6, Sapp has been in some really entertaining fights, and his fight with Nogueira was really, really great. He's not a good fighter, but he is a great character, and his charisma is untouchable.

19.

Edit: Of course, I'm not mentioning his K-1 stuff.

1. Stand UP - 5. Sapp has very little technical stand up skills, but he can take a decent amount and also swings hard and often.

2. Ground Game - 3. Bob Sapp's ground game is not very good. He's a huge guy and doesn't know how to use his weight at all.

3. Take Down Defense - 4. Nothing special here either.

4. Victories/Who he has beat - 6. As far as MMA goes, he hasn't done shit, but he did beat Ernesto Hoost in K-1 twice, which is very impressive.

5. Your opinion - 5. Bob Sapp is a character and entertaining to watch, but I wouldn't consider him a good fighter by any means. I'd like to see him fight Mark Hunt though

What a stud

to much work

The most solid advice I can give to anyone who fights BJ Penn is...do not motivate the guy. Lets face it, BJ although talented, is naturally lazy. Your job is to NOT convince him to step on that treadmill.

Ill start the rating of a different fighter...

ANDREI ARLOVSKI

Standup: 10. very few HW's match him standing. great speed, great power, great technique.

Ground Game: 7.5. while he's not world-class on the ground, he is good enough to hold his own against wrestlers and world class jiu-jitsu guys. and he has some subs too over top competition.

TDD: 6.5. nothing to gawk at, very solid but not GSP-like. the greatest defense of his is his opponenet thinkning twice upon eating leather on the way in.

Victories: 8.5. solid wins over some top guys, in dominating fashion (except for werdum, but a win is a win)

My Opinion: 8.5. incredible standup, great ground game, powerful AND fast, great all around. if he gets his confidence back and knocks some fool out his next fight ill give him a 9.

- The Alpha Wolves-
Muhammad Ali - Fedor Emelianenko - Alexander Karelin
