The fact leben said that about another fighter is just classic pot calling the kettle black. I swear if he could back up half the shit that comes out of his mouth I might repect him-again. Funny how he thinks he is too heavy for 170 yet in every fight I have seen him in he looks chubby, or like he just an ice cream cake.

Who the heck was that in the octagon with Terry Martin? I thought it was supposed to be Chris Leben... lol.

My wife and I were watching the fight and she's like "Leben's going to get KTFO", but we both changed our attitudes after the end of round 1. Leben looked like a much different fighter. Relaxed, calm, mature, didn't rush in and throw constant haymakers. He looks to have evolved. It's interesting to see what happens to a fighter after he's been beaten down enough times, and if he'll learn his lesson and grow in his game. I still don't like him, and I don't think he'll rise above B-level, but it is always interesting to see a fighter regardless of who they are improve their game and close up some holes.

Actually, I don't think Leben could make it down to 170. In the TUF 1, he was really fit and he weighed 200 pounds. When I say really fit, he was the only guy on the show who actually finished the initial workout, and that included guys like KOS, Forrest Griffin, etc. You could essentially make out his muscle tone on that show and he's just the kind of guy who's never going to really have that "cut" look. Even Dan Henderson, who's in amazing shape, has never had very chiseled abs. Different people have different body shapes.

Now, back on to Leben, he definitely packed on some pudge after TUF, so I can imagine he was cutting from 200+. Tonight he looked to be back in fighting form, and I'd still guess he's at 198-200. That dude isn't making weight for 170, and if he does his entire game goes out the window. He's not Swick, who uses speed for KO's, nor is he a very gifted ground fighter. He's a brawler, and all that weight just helps his style. If he somehow made 170, he'd probably look like Swick, at which point I'd be telling him to hit the weights and put some weight on.

I have been a big fan of Leben and while he still has a ways to go he showed he is finally taking steps in the right direction. Everytime Leben takes some of those bombs he does it just completely amazes me. I can't believe he KO'ed him at the end though, I think a good portion of that had to deal with how exhausted Terry was. He just didn't have the energy to recoup.
