No way...make the re-match with Rashad and Tito happen and then the winner of that faces Griffin "should" he win for a title shot. "Should" meaning no hope in the world in my humble opinion.

I voted yes.. but then again you never know what dana and joe are going to do. Maybe he will get winner of Liddell/Jardine and I would like to see that fight. I dunno really so many match ups ufc is getting crazy I love it! Wanderlai in the mix cant wait to see who they throw at him in Dec if not liddell but I hope it is Liddell

If Gonzaga got a title shot for beating Cro Cop than Forrest deserves one for beating Shogun. Forrest has already established where he stands in the big picture and a win against Shogun would honestly put him on another level.

Dana has already said Chuck needs two wins before he gets a shot and it looks like they have a Liddel/Silva match lined up for December. If Jardine wins then he should get the winner of Ortiz/Evans 2.

But lets be honest... I want to see Rampage/Shogun 2 more than anything right now

Yes, I think this should be the standard way to do it also in other similar fights. The idea with this fight is obviously that Shogun is supposed to beat Griffin so that the UFC audience knows who he is when he fights for the title.

But there should be something in it for the underdog too, apart from the opportunity to get his face smashed in by a top contender. If he wins against all odds, he should be able to get the fight intended for the opponent who lost.

If shogun does lose, it's highly likely that he would get a title shot since every other contender is already scheduled for another fight.

I didn't think about it like that until i read that part. Forest would have beaten the #1 contender whereas Jardine would have beaten the former champ, who's working his way up to be the #1 contender again.

If Jardine beats Liddell he would be first in line for the title no matter who Forrest beat, his loss to Jardine is too recent to erase but I still hold Jardine has a way better chance of an upset and its still very unlikely.

Although it won't happen, I'd like to see Forrest vs Houston. Those are the only guys I can think of, other than Machida, that really could be considered "contender" quality atm. If Machida beats Nak, I can easily see Machida vs Forrest, or mabey a Liddel vs Forrest for a contender spot.

Ooooh very true. Didn't really think of it like that, and Forrest is MUCH more well known than GG was. And your right about the Liddell/Silva tie up too.... wow that was really impressive, repped
