Same. It may be naive of me but it seems like it would do the UFC better to be more transparent about these sort of things. All this makes me feel is like the UFC is being greedy. That being said, I have no idea what sort of overhead events like this cost for them to put together and how much is too much, etc.
What Dana needs to understand is that it will be the actions of his favourite touch bum loving fighter that has probably given Diaz the inspiration to hold out for more, which probably is even more annoying for him.
So... I get home and crank up my internet box and turn on the old news feed and the first thing I see is a headline from Sports Illustrated "Mcgregor regrets not doing promotion"
The 2nd item is a headline from Fox sports "Mcgregor has no regrets"
It turns out they're both just cherry picking quotes from a ESPN interview. That's the sad sad state of MMA reporting.
Now I'm wondering if there is even a real reporter out there who might get off of their ass and go talk to Nate instead of waiting for him to tweet something.
I hope the heat isn't going out of this rematch with all this Mayweather business. The only reason for this rematch was McGregor's insistence and the hype and the bombast. Now McGregor has turned into a church mouse and Nate's unwillingness to agree terms I'm beginning to wonder whether this rematch will happen. That said I'm sure I will be suckered into the hype if it gets agreed. My main reason for wanting a rematch is to see Nate get paid as I respect him as a warrior.
